Ohh I love this song. I watched this movie. This song was used part: Jamal & Salim's mother die in riots. Easy to guess ? It's in very beginning, when the Jamal's mother washing laundries. Then the Hindus coming to kill all the muslims. It's very sad part ='(

I think the mourning they showed was when they were in shock and the sadness came later, which they didn't show. When a person lives in those sort of circumstances they don't have time to spend energy on traditional mourning, it is like shock then you suck it up and try to survive.

Both Jamal and Salim were awoken by nightmares of their mothers death. Ultimately the movie was about other topics besides that one event that shaped their life. It is a movie afterall and needed to move the story along.

The rioters who killed Jamal's mother were Hindu rioters. Jamal and Salim were Muslim,, as portrayed by the scene where Salim is praying for forgiveness from God in Islamic tradition.

mozart is a child prodigy. rahman is just a very spiritual person who does many expiriments he tries to make his music BETTER than it is. u should listen to rangeela re(his debut) it sounded like everyone else. but he's just trying harder & hearder now. i mean he never used tyco drums in any bollywood movie i know of...so, mozart no one is better than mozart

This song gives me the shivers. It's even worse if you've seen this particular scene in the movie. It's not hyped-up like the action movies, it's calm, then the energy comes, but it gives you the alive feeling in the scene. That's why this song's so great.

1..SLUMS will be converted to beautiful mansion where rich kids playing.2..Beggar gang will be played by some Minister who kidnap these kids.3..Train will be replaced by AirIndia. 4..Kids will be living in plane Tires and selling goods during flights untill caught. they jumpedand some how manage to survive.5..Cant show the riot replaced by some song. 6..
