  • Fuck yeah bounce that bar like a total fucking idiot, if you lock out your elbows maybe then you can say you did 72 reps but for now let's call it as it is, 72 bounces

  • you're all idiots. go do some pushups.

  • awesome and amazing despite it all even if others say it is not proper form or partial reps I would still like someone go the same distance as you did and rep out 72 .. people are always super cirtical .. great work and also correct powerlifting technique ...

  • He needs to go all the way up then ill give him credit

  • @huggg567 I'm jealous because I can't do this so I'm going to make comments about his form.

  • @bigfrigginpat listen bro i just said i can do 225 about 5 good controlled reps, and its still improving. with the form of this dude i could do way more than that tho. Anybody that knows about lifting weights would know he shows bad form. So hop off his dick moron

  • @thekillermike22 1) I'm not your "bro" 2) Define controlled. You have no idea what you're talking about. He is using a power lifter's technique, something you obviously know nothing about. You're "bad form" claim is the very thing that categorizes you as a douche in the gym and in life. You're ignorant but you're probably only 16 and a rookie anyway.

  • @bigfrigginpat haha im guessing your not really that stupid and your just a trol. Because he is clearly just tryin to get as many reps as possible. im done

  • @thekillermike22 says the troll who tried to bash an experience lifter's form.

  • @thekillermike22 Apart from bouncing off his chest, this is a good form cause you keep all the tension in you chest the whole time by not locking out on top.

  • you people and your 3/4 rep remarks. none of you apparently have never learned a damn thing about bench press. there are 2 major techniques and he is using one of them (obviously). your egos are blinding you from the simple fact that Onn did something that all of you can't achieve because you don't know what you're talking about. know what you're talking about before you troll your face off. idiots.

  • thats good but for what looks like a pro body builder that is bad as he was only doing 3/4 reps

  • LOL, anyone who actually benches knows not to lock your elbows, you put undue stress on your elbow joints. The goal is to get as high as possible without locking your elbows, same with pushups. Anyone who has the nerve to discredit the work the time it takes to do those numbers doesn't know too much about lifting. Bottom line, if that dude steps in front of any of you saying he's weak and he yells "BOO" too loud, you may wet yourself. Great job sir!!!

  • So each rep he went about half way. So its about 35 normal reps. Plus he bounced it off his chest. He did about 25 good reps. Pathetic.

  • @thekillermike22 because you can definitely do 25 good reps of 225 pounds

  • @karlmalone11 i can do five good and maybe with his form i could do 25

  • @thekillermike22 You said it's pathetic that he did about 25 good reps, then just stated that you can only do 5 good reps? What does that make you?

  • @LoLzerzzzz it doesnt make me a moron that uses rediculous form

  • @thekillermike22 you can do 5 good and with his form i bet you could only do 2. you have no idea what you're talking about. stop speaking.

  • @thekillermike22 you, also, have no idea what you're talking about. have you ever lifted any kind of weight? nope. shut your face. pathetic.

  • lol congrats on using ur stomch as a washboard spring but u didnt accomplish shit by doing it completely lockout dumbass

  • @coolsideeric01 "haha lol congrats on using ur stomch as a washboard spring but u didnt accomplish shit by doing it completely lockout dubass". if you can't spell or type, what makes you think anyone here believes you know what you're talking about? you're embarrassing yourself, troll.

  • @bigfrigginpat who the fuck cares if i misspelled one freakin word u lil pathetic bitch ass motherfucker one word go jerk off on the computer and let ur own grandma blow you chump ass son of a bitch!!

  • @coolsideeric01 you are pathetic and a walking embarrassment.

  • @bigfrigginpat sure but atleast i know how to do proper form and how to criticize someone if you dont agree with what i say then go to hell you donkey sucking dildo cunt

  • @coolsideeric01 You say you know proper form but I can guarantee there are multiple things you do wrong. "At least" isn't one word either. Your criticisms are empty and your name-calling is juvenile. Grow up.

  • @coolsideeric01 I'm going to clear this up now. Bodybuilding technique: shoulder blades pinched together slightly to brace the shoulders. Feet used for bracing but not focused on as much as powerlifting. Goal is to isolate pectorals; high bar travel. Powerlifting technique: back arched and tight, core tight, shoulder blades pinched tight, legs tight for solid base. Goal is to limit bar travel while touching chest or block. Use of lats and legs to drive weight up. Solid bas=solid lift. Done.

  • @coolsideeric01 This guy is using a powerlifting technique. It isn't wrong, you just didn't know the difference until I cleared it up for you. Your technique more than likely sucks and one day, you're going to blow out a shoulder or peck because you have no clue what to do. You're welcome.

  • shiit!!! i thought 50 reps was insane, but 72? dam, u r too beast.

  • WoooooooW. amazing!

  • Even if it is half reps, this is still beast!

  • Dont count if u dont lockout

  • strong as fuck!!!!

  • its easy to pump six inches off your chest prob cuz u only bench press 135. good for you i can list 30 women who can bench press prob more than u can. what is it with u kids. im not gonna take a video of myself, just so u feel better about ur stickfigure physique. ur a 117 pound stick kid lecturing people on how to weightrain when you look like u weigh less than my toddler nephew. and btw plz try new workouts cuz u still look like an 100 pound female, the gym obvs ain't working for u.

  • btw i checked yur channel. 117 pounds 14 yrs old. telling me you know how to work out. that sounds like a woman's stats. sack up and admit you dont know shit, cuz your pullup videos look like a asian female gymnist with 7 inch arms...just so you know. im 235 pounds and im no bodybuilder but im well built and i dont need to post a video and take time out of my life to prove a point just so you wont cry yourself to sleep

  • just cause i dont spend time videotaping myself and posting it on youtube. im on youtube to watch videos and i made an account to comment on them. ive been weightraining longer than you've been jacking off you asshole. btw how much do you weigh, 135?

  • my dick is bigger than that range of motion , who can bench press their body weight 60 times ? I bench press more than my body weight by 18 lbs 60 times

I weight 207 and can do 60 reps with 225 with fully extended arms

  • How are those half reps ? He's actually benching the way your supposed to be benching, isolating the chest and not fully relying on the smaller triceps. Plus he moved that shit like nothing. Keep benching with those "full reps" kids, lets see how big your chest gets.

  • What would it be without steroids?

  • that's 72 reps, i bet all of you pieces of crap commenting couldn't even take this off the rack.

  • LOL i just saw a vid of a guy doing 225lbs 50 times all the way up and down... MORE RESPECT TO HIM, than YOU, fucker!

  • @AndyAngelZ u dont know 2 fucking shits about weightraining. when you lock out your using your triceps

these "half reps" that your talking about are harder than locking out. Your a fucking joke and this guy would kick your ass. Get the fuck off youtube if your gonna rip on someone that does somthing impressive.

  • @cobyfuglienlts i dont care how fucking strong he is, i honestly dont give a shit if he could kick my ass.

"omg 72 reps... divided by 2 asshole"

  • @AndyAngelZ there you go again.... divided by 2. dont u fucking get it. if you've ever lifted a weight in your life than you'd know that locking out is easier than isolating your chest like onn basson's doing. go comment on a a fucking world of warcraft video, cuz u dont know shit

  • @cobyfuglienlts i can rep my body weight 27 times dipshit, i know how to bench and yes i've tried half repping and it was easy as fuck, it's hard if you do it slow halfway, because it's like holding a push up, it's harder than just pushing fast.

but if you push a half rep really fast you wont feel as much of the "hard tension" as doing it slowly.

locking out = full motion and longer rep time = harder

  • @cobyfuglienlts as for you, dont even bother replying back, your channel doesnt have a single video or anything.

you're just an internet keyboard hero... dont even bother talking until you get a video of yourself. you dont even have a background or anything

  • @cobyfuglienlts i know more than you do obviously.

you dont have any pics videos or anything on your youtube video so i dont know why you're talking shit.

he's still doing half reps regardless, not even 3/4.... and it's easy to just pump 6 inches off your chest trust me i've done it, maybe you havnt because you've been spending too much time on the internet.

if u think u know it all, then show me ur vid of 135lbs 100 reps or something bro

  • most impressive

  • 66 half reps and 6 full reps!!

  • my Chest hurts from watching this haha

  • Half Reps! its 36, get it right.

  • i can do this once

  • H8er l V

  • Not bad, how many full ones can you do??4

  • I can do that... for about 62 less reps lol

  • Much more impressive than some of the other "reps" videos i've seen on here. Amazing job.

  • very impressive by itself, even more so considering its after benching 505 for 6 sets of three. about the whole "not locking out debate", locking out is the easiest part of the lift, so while the reps were not competition form they were not much easier than complete locking out reps, and possibly just as hard. ever do power lockouts with 125% of your max? arching the back is proper. bouncing is not good but it looks like this guy could handle it. most people couldnt do this with 135!!!

  • 1 rep = 0.25 reps really

  • if you guys stopped moaning about the ROM and actually went n done something like that. you'll see that its alot harder than it looks and you feel a fucking good burn. thats the hardest part of the bench. the bottom.

  • mad props..that's crazy...full range or not...

  • Dam it

  • dam that shit is crazy dats motivation for me to start back benching i maxd at 205 just before i got my strength up then i quit like a dumb ass but i gotta get back at it...

  • I think his chest visibly swelled during the set.

  • yeh bro i cant count this. you are strong though.

  • stop fucking hating yall are talkin shit and none of you can do half of this

  • He's obviously strong as HELL, and there is probably not a single person in this comment thread that can do half of that. But the criticism of his range of motion for each rep is VALID. Yes, this is more of a body building type of lift as it increases blood flow for a serious pump but not locking out, but they are not full reps for competition standards, combine standards etc. But that does not mean we don't hes strong as is clearly is. RELAX.

  • The Camera Man: Hey Mom i counted to 10 today!

    Mom: Great Job!

  • nigga looks like winnie the pooh

  • hes fat, plus arched back, plus 1/4 motion.. that cant be hard..

  • HE IS STRONG AS FUCK. A REAL BENCH PRESS REP THE BAR MUST BE EVEN WITH THE RACK NOT LOCKING ELBOWS. GRANTED HE WAS NOT DOING REAL REPS, I BET NOBODY COMMENTING CAN DO THIS!!!

  • Comment removed

  • @thatboy575m I agree. Plus, this is isolation which will bring more blood to the targeted area and thus increase muscle growth and stimulation. But these idiots wouldn't know that.

  • @jcbiggs The bottom line is that the complaints are valid. No one can't boast to doing 72 reps when they're merely bouncing the weight a few inches off their chest. It's retarded and completely invalidates the feat.

  • @sbowesuk Can you do it? Not many can. That's the feat right there.

  • @sbowesuk You're also not taking into account that he has short arms and a very large chest. If you actually thought about that, you would see that, even though he's not locking out his arms, which is not a good thing, he is almost fully extending his arms.

  • @jcbiggs Lol are you for real? Locking out the arms is NOT a bad thing at all, especially if form is CORRECT. Scot Mendelson did just that with 715lbs, raw, so please stop talking out your ass. The bottom line is these are half reps that's he's bouncing off his chest, which is far worse than locking out. Get a clue.

  • @sbowesuk Maybe you can do some more research on joints before you continue talking. You sound ignorant. Typical!

  • @jcbiggs Maybe you should do the same. You're arguing with the most basic fundamentals of bench pressing. Mark Rippetoe and Bill Starr would be turning in their graves if they weren't still here. *rolls eyes*

  • @sbowesuk I stand corrected..... on how ignorant you are. So your argument is that two men did it so it must be okay. My argument is that the research on joint and locking out repetitively puts a lot of pressure on the joint and can cause such things as tendonitis. I can't even find anything on Bill Starr except for his program. I don't agree with Mark Rippetoe's methodology. Arching your back like that puts strain on it and he doesn't cover anything on locking out. Chesticles. lol

  • @jcbiggs So now you're saying people shouldn't arch their back when benching? Now I know you're either trolling or a complete incompetent. Arching the back (with shoulder-blades pinched and feet firmly planted) creates a strong stable platform to bench from. It reduces the distance the bar has to travel, and offers greater leverage/mechanical advantage. Like locking out at the top, arching is the CORRECT way to bench.

  • @sbowesuk No, actually it doesn't. It causes unnecessary stress on the shoulders, same with the super arch he had, it's bad for the lower back and working unnecessary muscles used for the movement. Locking out causes stress on the elbows and can easily cause injury. You can "lock-out" when you rack the weight, but to do it for consecutive reps can cause injury.

Unfortunately, your rudimentary teachings of High School weights isn't going to cut it here. And your physics is way off

  • @tebone7

Nothing wrong with a back arch that is properly executed. Its only bad when the arch is excessive. The extent to which you can arch depends on your build. What the other guy said was not wrong - you pinch the shoulders, keep the feet and butt firmly planted, and make sure your whole body is tight as hell.

Regarding "unnecessary muscles"... well that depends on your goals. If your goal is max weight lifted, every muscle is necessary.

I agree about the lock-out though.

  • @alin1975 Yeah, that's what i meant about the back arch, just wasn't enough letters left.

  • @jcbiggs ur not suuppse to put arch in ur back. suppose to be straight so its pure arm strength

  • @wrraider I don't. I'm trying to tell sbowesuk that. Plus, it's never going to be strictly arm strength. It has to do a lot with chest and back, even without arching your back. Arching just makes it easier.

  • @sbowesuk The majority of people who are going for speed reps don't lock out. I highly doubt Scot was doing speed reps with 715. Reason is because at that speed, locking out can actually damage your joints, particularly elbows, because odds are not every rep is not going to be perfect form and you can hurt yourself hyperextending. While I agree these are not full reps, this is still impressive and people need to just learn to respect others' achievements instead of criticizing.

  • @thatboy575m hell yea nobody can do this, i mean in theory, they say you shouldnt even touch your chest or lock out to keep constant stress on the muscle, people treat every bench press video like its a competition

  • @thatboy575m Keep telling yourself that brah. Only fags stop at the rack rather than locking out. Scott Mendelson would tell you the same.

  • @sbowesuk ok post a video of you doing 72 reps the same way he does thats all i ask. no disrespect and tough talking just do it.

  • @thatboy575m I've said it before and I'll say it again just for you - I'm critiquing his form, not the weight on the bar. I know good form and I know bad form, and this is plain bad. Don't need to be as strong as him to have an opinion of his form.

And one other thing, why would I do 72 reps using his form when IMO his form is dog shit. There's no logic to that whatsoever.

  • i counted about 2 or 3 fully extended.

  • 72 reps? , more like 30 complete reps

  • here's real reps: /watch?v=O-Gfzu7D--I&feature=related

this dude does like quarter reps with chest bounce doing half of that.

  • God, the critics here make me sick to my fucking stomach.

Anyone with a brain or a bench worth a piss recognizes how amazing this feat is, while the rest kid themselves into believing they could do it too if only they stooped to using this form. Keep dreaming, slappydicks.

  • @A550RGY a bench worth of piss? Don't be a hero, bro.

  • @Xb0x540 "worth A piss". I also gave the option of having a brain, so I wasn't being exclusive to physicality. Don't hurt yourself thinking too much. Bro.

  • @A550RGY leave the expressions to the professionals. You're a regular keyboard warrior.

  • @Xb0x540 Keep recycling expressions instead of coming up with your own material, pro.

  • @A550RGY HERO

  • @A550RGY dickrider

  • @i3obm4l2ley I made you cry. lol

  • @A550RGY

I feel ya man..he looks like he has a shorter armspan but he is still doing those reps as he should of. 72 times at 225 is fukn amazing....I dont even see that many times in the NFL combine

  • lol i wanna see all these pussies saying thats so easy go do it than prolly never picked up a weight

  • Y'all are all fucking stupid. It's still 225. And he reps it 72 times. Even if he didn't do speed reps he'd still probly get in the 50s or 60s. All y'all need to stfu. Can y'all do what he did? Probly not. So be quite...

  • @texasfool55 quite what? doesn't count without range of motion

  • you spelled wrong...it should be called "pussy pressing" cause that's all i fuckin' see.

  • i dont get why people keep complaining about his form and that he doesnt rep it all the way. he still benches 225 and moves it 72 times like that which is pretty damn impressive regardless of whether or not he completes a rep

  • @arachnoman13 false advertisement pisses people off

  • i love coming to this video just cause of the morons talking about his form. I want to see a video of this guy grabbing you haters and throwing you for distance.

  • @jwood98 instead why don't you use whatever form you want and see if you come anywhere near 72 : ) I love haters

  • i dislike it because form is way off... do it right and then see if it's 72 reps

  • whoever talks shit, u probably cant even bench 225

  • i counted 13 real reps..... just sayin breh

  • @skateinrat... Well maybe you need to go back to school and learn to count.

  • this guy is an animal..... a powerhouse.... teach him how to bench?

  • Is he retarded? Someone, teach poor guy how to bench.

  • @DavidNimber .. Are you retarded? Teach him how to bench what? Your pussy ass pink dumbells? Sorry buddy, but a comment like that shows your lack of experience in training and very limited knowledge in training techniques. Just because you'd snap in half if you tried to bench like this, all you can do is criticize lol.

  • Gotta love all the weak jealous retards posting comments on this vid. Go back to your pink dumbells and do jumping jacks in your pink leotards rather than get all jealous because this guys stronger than you. Fucking youtube experts, if you spent less time criticizing and more time training and learning training techniques, maybe you wouldn't need to be so jealous and actually have intelligent input to offer.

  • Full reps are much more effective than half reps.

  • @Kaybach1732 lol soooo not true both are effective in different ways dipshit btw not called half reps called speed reps

  • @Kaybach1732... More effective at doing what? He aint posting a bench press instructional video, he's demonstrating explosiveness and power and is absolutely manhandling 225 like its nothing. In this case, its not a matter of whats more effective than what, he's not a beginner and can bench however the fuck he wants to achieve whatever the fuck he wants.

  • hes yet still a beast, but geeting impulse from chest by dropping the bar and doing half extensions is kinda bullshit... thats not real benching. however getting 72 done like that is fucking impossible for most people

  • nice partial reps(:

  • @JaNKxKEEz Do you know why he was locking out during the last few reps? To give his muscles a rest, making it EASIER. those "partial reps" put far more strain on the chest than full reps, so how about you stfu and leave now.

  • Again with the internet form critics. Seriously, this is probably just a finishing/speed movement after heavy ME sets. 99% of you can't even press 225 once let alone 72 times. Full extensions aren't good on the elbows anyways so what does it matter? 99% of the people commenting are like 140lbs soaking wet

  • For anyone who bashes this kind of repping... Go try it! Your pecs get blown up doing this!

  • @SDMatt921 if i am tryin to build my chest should i do this kind of reps i cant get my chest to cut for the life of me ..i need some suggestions .......can u gibe me alil advice

  • stupid

  • LOL at the haters here...his ROM is def short, but this man is strong as fuck and would make anyone here look like a bitch in the gym any day

  • @rr00676

you think youre a cool guy saying ROM instead of range of motion lol douchebag

  • i can't even do that with the dman bar ! what the fuck is this ?

  • lol this looks retarted and a joke. like someone fast forwarded an android

  • lol go all the way up

  • I don't mean to troll on this guy but lets get serious: If I weighed 300 pounds, bounced the weight off my chest like a trampoline, then only pressed it 5 inches, I could do that too. Now, if he wants to do PROPER form repetitions without touching his chest and extending all the way up, then we might be impressed. Until you do it right, just save these videos for yourself.

  • @CommoditiesTrader you are right, but technically u are supposed to touch your chest, but just making slight contact with it, not slamming it like this meat head

  • @xTheRover How far you bring down the weight primarily depends on two things, length of arms and width of grip, correct form is to come down and barely break 90 degrees. Someone skinny with long arms and a naturally close grip doesn't need to touch their chest under any circumstances. Unless you have a fat chest, wide grip or short arms, 90 degrees usually occurs long before touching the chest.

  • wow well done man, this is the most reps ive ever seen with 225.

  • @12Concetta he's doing half reps how can you say that?

  • @ScrubVids if you dont fully extend, then you are isolating the chest and not the tricepts or shoulders, so this guy is still super strong even if he doesnt extend all the way up.

  • he doesn't wrap his thumbs round the bar, dangerous!

  • He is bouncing the wt but it still a hell of a feat!

  • im suprised he didnt burry a hole in his shirt with the bar

  • Was that hard going 1/10 of the way up?

  • @SStevenson23 actually it is hard because by not going all the way up you keep constant pressure and strain on the chest

  • @goatkiller68 Have you ever heard of ROM? When bodybuilding it is all about form, quality over quantity. 90% of the people who work out seem not to understand the concept.. rocking your back while curling, lifting your ass off the bench while benching, only going down half way to your chest while benching, bouncing the bar off your chest, leg pressing 1000 pounds but only going down 2 inches. This guy obviously looks strong (might be all the juice) but that's terrible form.

  • @SStevenson23 IS he a bodybuilder though? i honestly dont know. And regardless even if it is terrible form its still hard to do it 72 times. Have you tried doing that? especially with a wide grip like that

  • @goatkiller68 Do pull ups count if you don't get your chin over the bar? I would have no interest in attempting this kind of benching.. I'm not interested in bad form workouts going super fast and doing 1/4 of the actual push.. although 72 may be impressive.. none of these would count during a competition.. and his 72nd rep doesn't even lock out to finish, he just racks it. Just don't understand how people can count reps if they are not actual reps.

  • @SStevenson23 i know right lock out i hate wen people make these bull shit videos

  • uhhhhh

  • lmao at all the comments about form. how can anyone judge such elite athletes. Who here talks shit about Kobe's dribbling or Payton Manning's throwing technique? Anyone got shit to say about Michael Phelps breast stroke? Get your heads out of your own asses and realize that this is not some fucking 15yo at a highschool gym. This is an elite lifter. TRUST ME, he knows what he is doing... EVERYONE talking shit, ya'll are just trolls. Go to bed, doesn't ur boss need his laundry done!

  • Go up all the way!!!

  • Those weren't legit reps.

  • @alfonso2501 yeah they were dude...even so im sure you cant even do the bar 72 times bro.

  • @ngbulldog

    those were half reps.

  • Do them right pussy

  • Ok So he Did 5 Reps Legit at the End!

  • that crushes the PAEA video at the combine, yeah his arms are short as hell(basson) but stilll legit record imo

  • doesn't have very much distance to push

  • 72 reps with 225 is insane. lets see any of u haters do it. he's a beast

  • Jkeenan15 ur a dumb fucker u don't know shit about lifting weights. He did about 15 total reps yes he would still get alot if he locked his arms out but not 72 so shut the fuck up about that's how ur supposed to get reps u dumb bitch

  • He didn't even extent his arms all the way except the last couple this lift should not count

  • @cmattei66 nope, none of em benefit the chest at all. just look at how skinny he is, hell never get big that way. This guy prob cant get 225 for ten good ones right? Jesus christ, why do I bother with u ignorant fools

  • Bounce that bitch off your chest son!

  • He's a trampampoline!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • he just did 72 reps, i'm pretty sure he didn't need help lifting it off the rack.
