Talent like this existed especially back then. It's today's "talents" that I'm worried about. Rarely ever anybody comes even close. About the "rap" - it's gospel, nothing unusual. Modern rap has roots in songs like this.
its funny, although i knew rock and roll had a GOSPEL SOUNDING BEGINNING, i didnt know who started it---also there is NO BLACK WOMAN TODAY that plays the ELECTRIC GUITAR---(she sounds like ELVIS a little) an modern rap is DISCO just like i thought since rap has been around a LONG TIME
@deek77 makes me laugh today youngun's a thinkin they be breakin new ground when all the ground been already broke long and long ago...can't make new blues - can only recognise the blues has always been, is always still and will ever be...the blues didn't just have one baby - she had the whole dang family...the blues is the mother of all...amen
@fairalways you are most welcome , long as i get an invite back to your synagogue , best voice i ever heard sang at my friends funeral at his synagogue , god spreads the talent far and wide my friend .
I already knew that she was the absolute queen of gospel, blues, jazz, and even rock... But here she's doing some rap too !!! We all miss you Sister !!! See you up there !!!
