I think symbolically the horse represents Mega64, and Derricks bad day represents his life. On this bad day he finds a horse, a beautiful white and pink horse. He loves this horse very much. But soon he realizes this horse is not what it once was, Derrick realizes he is too good for this horse, the times shared with this horse would remain but it was time to set it ablaze and seek what lies ahead. Derrick has moved past this "lame day" to utilize his divine talents to their full potential.
