well being a kayak instructor i never hit d water witout one!....wat happens if d paddle hits d head!...im just sayin, its how i do it anyway!....like i said, very talented guy
Hello! if you like the kayak you have to watch the videos of AUDIOVISUAL4 user, you write the name of the user and you will see all the videos, are very nice videos.
For the helmet commenter's: this video was shot in a pond that is about 10 feet deep. I can touch the bottom if I flip and extend my paddle it's full reach down. I hardly think hitting my head is an issue of notable concern. Lol. Thanks for the comments though. Happy kayaking.
A dvd helps to a point. Everything I've learned to do in a kayak has been through watching paddlers with more experience and the *free* information I've found on the internet. There is nearly limitless information out there if you're willing to search for it. However, a DVD like Ken's does do a good job at connecting techniques together.
Hi.I have been kayaking for couple of years now, and i would like to start playboating. Could you send me some instructions of how to do it or something. because you are very good.
hey, nice video lol sat there watching it thinking it would be good to do that i am a keen kayaker i currently have a boat a Dagger RPM but its to big for that sorta play but next year i will be buying a dagger G-Force to start that sort of kayaking any tips on how to get into it im not the most flexible either as im a 13 stone rugby player so i donno if that will restrict me in any way

your really good, i have been paddling for a couple of yrs and i have a perception whip-it, then last weekend bought a liquid logic ronin so i'm taking up playboating and in the pool session tonight gonna try and learn to cartwheel! got any tips?
I'd start with the doublepump - that consists of pulling your bow into the air with a forward sweep stroke and simoultaniously edging the boat towards the side your stroke is on. At the top of the rise, reverse the direction by unwinding your torso and low brace with your paddle at the same time you slam your bow down into water. With any luck you'll be vertical now. There's an okay view on what you'll be doing at 0:54 above. Good luck and happy kayaking!
Really nice, i am starting rodeo kayaking.... I don't succed to get vertical :( .i do a lot of practice but... grrrrr.. and i am only 14 years old so my kayak is a little bit to big :( If someone can give me tricks. It would be appreciate.
PS : I take a "class" (sorry, my english is not soo good), so I know the principal technic to get vertical
Unfortunately, I have little access to good playspots where I live. So I've never had a chance to try any advanced playboating moves beyond front and back surfing. I've tried cartwheeling and looping in a couple of places, but I usually end up striking the bottom of the river with my ends.
I can however, do the flatwater versions of most of the more advanced moves, like the splitwheel and helix. I guess that's what happens when you have crappy whitewater. Lol.
I started kayaking in the pool up at campus and I fell in love with it imediately. I started early September of last year. So when I shot the video, I had been kayaking for around 9 months.
Yeah, the S6F is a great boat! I haven't paddled a ton of different playboats but out of all the ones I've been in, the S6F (I have the 192cm) is the easiest to do flatwater stuff in. It has a lot to do with your weight and height, though... Keep practicing! I'm sure you'll get it!
crazy stuff :)) great work

Hey nice skills, how do u keep it on its end so easy??? AIRBAGS???
Popesloany 4 years ago
Airbags only help when the boat is full of water to stop it sinking to the bottom. Airbags used in kayaks have no effect in normal use.
