  • JUST GREAT!!!!

  • @quark4567 I'm probably one of the biggest Oasis fans you can meet and I can say that, Oasis never did this song better. You can't get better than this. Open your ears.

  • he sounds like Mick Jagger!!!

  • the scene in sons of anarchy with this song gave me the chills, and I just had to find this song, loved it so much :D

  • Because the energy of the crowd this version of the song gives me goosebumps.

  • Music with a meanig. Not just such a "I make music and earn a lot of money"-shit like Justin Bieber. This is music and it will never dies!

  • Neil Young... The man is a sage

  • This song was written to be much faster but i do like it much better this way it should always be a slow song

  • such a beautiful song

  • burning out

  • into the play here -great cause- and I listen to this weekly- how much money did they raise? greta

  • @elo333333333 I think it is G. Only other possibility would be F.

  • Neil Young is one of my greatest inspirations, he taught me that rock and roll is here to stay and that it can never die!

  • A Rock&Roll soha nem hal meg, ez tart életben

  • I have never seen a concert film with this TIGHTof a close-up before. Young looks almost like Clint Eastwood in his Italian westerns, burning with cold fire.

  • Hey hey, my my, Neil Young can never die!

  • 5 persons havent's a soul.

  • Yes But an ad for Legos I think Neil would approve of

  • i find it funny these guys are old schol you never see those hip hop artist trying to help something

  • His stare is so intense

  • i dont want a car advert before a legendary artist.

  • is more to the picture than meets the eye

  • 5 persons haven't soul.

  • I've listened to this song hundreds of times and I still get goose bumps

  • fucking amazing.. i cant discribe it.. makes my hair stand upon my arms

  • Amazing!!!

  • Is he tuned down to E flat? This song is usually in Am he's playin it in G.

  • Its better to burn out then to fade away...best fucking lyric

  • I'm a 15 year old girl and Neil Young & Bob Dylan are my heroes.

  • @RandiSUGAR I'm 15 too. Id pay gold to see Dylan & Young in their golden ages

  • @SuperTramp242 I'm going to a concert of Bob Dylan next week. I'm pretty sure I'm gonna be really disappointed. I just want to live in the 80's

  • @RandiSUGAR we dont care how old are u

  • Battleme is way better.

  • very good quality for a video from 80s.

  • @c2palermo they had good quality videos for a very long time. just low quality tvs

  • also at the end a string fucking fails

  • i just play too much tf2 or his hat is awesome??

  • he is fucking great

  • and that is how it is done

  • why is my penis hard

  • @BassNM WEll its a simple science. When a man gets sexually aroused by something attractive or awesome blood rushes to the penis. This is generally for sexual intercourse but occasionally something such as this song causes it. If you like I could explain a couple ways to get rid of it.

  • this shit gives me the chills everytime

  • @thedesertsux EVERY time.

  • Is the name (hey hey, my my) or (my my, hey hey) , But i guess it doesn't really matter all that matters is Neil Young and rock'n roll.

  • @dirtbike2live Out of the blue and into the black

  • awesome

  • epic

  • One of the best rock songs ever written - rock on Neil !!

  • This song would be great in Johnny Cash's Voice

  • Comment removed

  • The acoustic version is My My ,Hey Hey and the incredible first grunge song is Hey Hey,My My.

  • T

he King is gone but is not forgoten...

  • INTENSE. this performance is pure intensity

  • @copenhagenfiend

The look in his eyes does say alot, doesn't it..

  • This is one of the best performances ever done. Neil Young singing about the vietnam war , punk rock and it was the last song Kurt Cobain did put on repeat.

It is hard as hell doing this song the way he does it.. , but he makes it look easy Respect!

  • thumbs up if your still donating to farm aid

  • who would dislike this

  • I recall nirvana.

    by

    japan boy

  • The harmonica is actually played in the key of B flat (Bb) I don't know where people are getting the key of G from.

  • @ThePolishpittbull I usually play this song with a harp in the key of C. Does Neil use a standard guitar tuning as well?

  • cry harmonica! cry!

  • straight up best song ever, fuck modern music

  • @2sevensdaievans Fuck people who all they ever do is bitch about modern music.

  • @platypae333 ahhh right so you know me so well that you know i ALWAYS bitch about modern music, you know nothing, shut your mouth you fuckin retard

  • @platypae333 IS CAUSE NEW MUSIC IS PURE CRAP GET IT...

  • Champaign, Illinois?

I'm in UIUC right now, how i wish i was born 30 years earlier

  • awesome

  • I didn't know Wolverine sang, played guitar, AND Mouth Harp

  • What kind of harmonica did he play?

  • @AboSaud33: Hohner - Marine Band... usually in the key of G

  • -would NEVER provide enough food for themselves, let alone a family, 2 live off of without FARMERS. Wish It was easier to comment this on all the Farm Aid videos.

Does ANY1 know if Rain on the Scraecrow, Blood on the Plow was written specifically 4 1 of these shows?!? It REALLY exemplafies the cause.

  • I ment Too Petty & the Heart Breakers, BTW. Don't give me shit about it. Also ment this concert really gives the finger 2 all those who do A HELL of alot less labor 4 a hell of alot more undeserved $. BTW, a pound of tobacco= @least 75 leaves or around 10 or so plants. I know there's a huge need for the medical profession, making them VERY rich. I also know that every1 that utalizes professional medical assistance for every minor injury or illness (lightly scraped knee or case of gas)-

  • I REALLY wanna go 2 a farm aid. I spent the 2nd half of my youth (around 9-18) on a tobacco/cattle farm. Tmo petty would've been my favorite. IDK how many of these performers argh still touring, but farmers, tobacco @least, argh still working theirselves 2 DEATH 4 a meager income, by 2day's standards. This really gives the finger 2 all those who do A HELL of alot less labor 4 a hell of alot more undeserved $. a pack of smokes cost around 5x more than a POUND of tobacco. 1 small leaf=1 carton

  • what a great performance. i hate those people cheering every 20 seconds like those people who clap along to a slow song at a concert.rock got no reason

  • this is real music

  • rock without drums is so peaceful. but with or without it's all awesome.

  • @josh71111

I'm a drummer!!! Istil HAVE 2 agree with U 4 the most part on that though. I LOVE a few songs that have no drum section for their majority. The way it leaves the thumping rhythem up 2 the guitar is underplayed enough 2 give it a sence of being a special occasion when it's done.

  • Neil looks like he's going to kill somebody in the thumbnail.

  • "it's better to burn out, then to fade away"

  • This version actually beats the one in "Rust never sleeps". And the one in "Rust never sleeps" is perfect. Therefore, Neil Young beats perfection.

  • Wow. This is like some Old Testament Neil or some damning Nick Cave come down from the mountain and tossing down the law. Rock n' Roll indeed.

  • You can tell, he means every word of it. LOVE IT

  • I like when the 2nd top rated comment is an @ the first one.

  • Quanti ricordi !!!!Mio Dio.

  • So much passion is put forth by Neil, absolutely incredible. Gives me goose bumps everytime. It's a shame they don't make songs like this anymore.

  • Young Neil?

  • Comment removed

  • I think that a lot of people really don't understand it for what it really is

  • I'm getting "It's better to burn out than to fade away" tattoo on my arm tomorrow. FACT

  • @Jamiethewookie Did you get it? (:

  • @Jamiethewookie Hope you'll live up to it... Or should I say, die up to it? ;-)

  • Rock n' Roll will never die

  • i love this clip so much ...

  • good version

  • Very amazing

  • That riff is great to say the very least.

  • its better to burnout than to fade away

  • @bigred574198 its better to burnout that it is to rust

  • Its beyond me that he even picks up that gibson when he has the holy grail of acoustics just chillin on ice.

  • Thank you for so many years of pleasure listening to your music Neil....I am truly lost for words in trying to describe what your music means to me....For me your are a musical genius the likes of which are a very rare breed ....long may you bring pleasure to so many....peace.

  • More Neil.....

  • neil has probably razor sharp teeth

  • ice eyes

  • That's one of the greatest ever rock performances right there.

  • @emmanuel69ify now listen i am better than this guy what a loathsome imoble oompa loompa he will never grow he is rotting flesh

  • skip advertisements, hit refresh haha

  • why he never plays the first verse?

  • That's the first time in a long time that a song has brought tears to my eyes.. Neil Young is a deep and amazing person to be able to create such immortal art!

  • unfortunately you have to live it to play it with that much heart, but he is great

  • I was there! What an event that day in Champaign, IL

  • Neil must be around 63 or 64, but he is still one of least recognised greats, up there with Dylan and Springsteen!

  • @hpprkm He's 65 now. Amazing, long may he run! Le Noise was his best work in 15 years!

  • @journeythruthepast - Oh I agree, it is an amazing, insightful album - he is amazing!

  • @hpprkm you're hopless when it comes to taste, you know that.

  • @phantomofthedrivein You are writing this because?????? You know nothing of my musical tastes and by the way, the word I think you are trying to write is spelt hopeless!

  • @hpprkm letter writing is a lost art, but rock and roll lives on in spite of Neil Young.

  • @journeythruthepast - Oh I agree, it is an amazing, insightful album - he is amazing! Yes, and long may he run! I admire the fact he does what he wants musically, regardless of current trends and criticism - that is a dedicated artist!

  • out of sync

  • I luv America ... I am the guitar player too! With no name

  • Playin harmonica and guitar at the same time requires a lot of talent

  • @C0DY1180 That explains why Neil Young is so dang good at it

  • @C0DY1180 not really but neil is the best

  • @C0DY1180

    lol, do you play guitar?

    it's not that hard.

It's hard being like neil young : P

  • @C0DY1180 It`s so very true!!

  • @C0DY1180 yup and only neil and dylan can do it right!!! well ive seen bruce springsteen do it well too

  • Unreal. Neil Young is amazing!

  • IS NEIL YOUNG STILL ALIVE AND HOW OLD IS HE NOW HES GORGOUS!

  • @ThePocohontis yes he is still alive and still gorgous

  • @ThePocohontis not sure of age....he's older than me i know

  • @ThePocohontis born november 12th 1945 => 65 years old

  • bummer, it seems like all these videos have all their audio out of sync.
