!obama represents that long tireless invision dream of what america should become, must become to continue holding firm to its ideal of a goverment for the people by all its people at last!for He is an instrument forged from that original dream that so many payed so dearly .-I'am a proud latin american proudly suporting Barak Obama! !A dream taking a GIANT step closer to reality!.-Amen.
the winds of change are blowing across this nation and the world courtesy of president Obama;it is guaranteed to sweep you off your feet and it is coming soon to a neighborhood near you.
I watched this live, and today am still watching it.He is truly the right man for washington.Iam inspired so much yet am Ugandan (East Africa)!! Obama 08!!! YES WE CAN!
Irregardless of your polical views, I have NOT seen Americans of all ages this fired up and ready to go regarding a political candidate in my 30 years of voting. Even I am following this one. In term of people saying Obama does not know the issues, please when I listen to Hillary does not sound like she is specific either.
I have not been this inspired about a canidate in years. I believe he is the right person and the right time in our history to bring this country back to greatness. He has my vote.
I saw this live and it was very moving, the best Ted has sounded in years! It was very reminicent of the 60's. So is my music. Take a peek at wilburjr-thanks.
As an American living abroad (and registered independent voter, btw) for the last 6 years, I have not just heard or read about the deterioration of America's standing in the world, but have witnessed it. In the past, I have voted for both Republican and Democratic candidates for president, and have had a difficult year deciding whom to support in '08. No longer. Obama is our future. Make us proud, Barack!
I was there yesterday and watching this video gives me the same chills I got yesterday. As a 60 year old woman who remembers the halcyon days of Camelot, I know that I am witnessing history. This is what makes America great--it is our hope, our belief in possiblilities that has made this country's potential so astonishing. It's not a pipe dream or naive to think that we can change the course of history for the better for everyone on earth.
Early in most of these speeches, Obama is a great orator, calm and measured. But a few minutes in, there is a shift that occurs, and he enters a new zone of inspiration! In this speech, I felt the shift right before he said "The Dream is still Alive!". I want this kind of spark in my president! Gobama!! Yes we can!
this guy speaks so damn well... well that was an understatement if you know what I mean. I don't know if he'll be as effective as a leader though, but he sure as hell deserves a chance if Bush got one .. or two.
Congratulations Senator Obama! You are today entrusted with the dreams of so many people whose heart was broke three times, Nov. 22, 1963, Apr. 4, 1968 and Jun. 5, 1968. Many of us wept on those days including me. You have proven meritorious of the support you received today and from here on carry the imprimatur of one of those fine American Family's who has given so much to this Country.
the torch has been passed to our new great hope for change - i am ready to go - yes we can! - the clintons have everything on their side but we have each other
That was an incredible story about how Obama's father first came to America. The onnection to Freshman John Kennedy's bill in the Senate and the Kennedy Foundation Grant program is breathtaking. This is an eppoch tale unfolding before us, folks. Start taking notes, sit back, and enjoy history in the making.
that's one of the most interesting things about this race. This is history unveiling. Reminds me of a quotation by Ziggy Marley: "You don't know you're making history, because you're living it." I just hope that people see and recognize the venomous negativity coming from the Clintons and are turned off by it. I was neutral going into the debates, and then I saw the Clinton cranking up the dirty attacks, and I had ZERO respect for them.
This is the first time in eight years that I can see hope for the future! I have just been bouncing all over the place today with pure joy; it feels good! (smile) I love this new generation, they were the ones who got me lookin' at Obama; they rock and so does Obama! Go Obama 2008!
We the people has done it south carolina, come people let us make them hear our voice, let match together with one voice. verily, verily, we shall overcome. Our hope of a better America has come. your choice and vote be casted, we shall overcome. God bless America. It takes some to destroy and some to rebuild.
Vote Obama now and and beyond. 2008. The change we need.
What a proud moment for one who watched dreams die to see hope born again and coming alive. Thank you Senator and Caroline Kennedy for your support of Senator and Mrs. Obama.
It is one of the moments in history that bridges the past and the future, calls for the best in human nature, and inspires people to remake the world as it should be.
The young will carry America's future, and they see no color borders! No matter how much coverage the Clintons get in the media, or camera appearance they cannot bring to "heart "what we feel! OBAMA For President. Bless the Kennedys! DM / New York
How about that. =) Now that's some very good news. This is not a passing of the torch, but a sharing of the torch. Bring us together as one nation, one people, heal the mistakes of our past and help us to our bright future. Fired Up !
