  • Would be great for robbing a bank. Or killing someone. Or maybe even watching women undress.

  • @VoreTechz1985 I've always thought that

  • OMG ITS REAL! At 0:28 you can see that his hair is invisible.

  • I wanted to see something turn incognito! instead I got nerds talking about bending and the four elements and blah blah blah

  • the vids 2008. Molecular cloaking has already been done since then in fact in a few different methods.

  • ssux cuz they are thinking at military any invention is in use of war suxxxxx

  •

  • this was done 2 years ago using some kind of radiation (i think gamma)

  • I can't see the point of this.

(did ya get that? it's an invisibility joke)

  • Comment removed

  • Why can't I see the invisible thing in the jar?...wait, DOH >.<

  • Will u guys just shut your asses up? Who cares if the military gets it first?

What would we use it for anyway?

I think the military would have a better use for it anyway

  • @SplosionCow

Hitler and Stalin loved brain dead sheeple like you...

You can bet your ass they won't 'allow' the sheeple to have it.

  • Don't say new technologies like this are only for military and not for normal people. Remember when was believed that 1mb of memory would be enough for every normal people.

Stop thinking in military implementations, grow a little bit stupid humans.

  • us army already have stealth suits it is just not operational jet and it wil probably never become mainstream anyway so keep dreaming

  • It has always been about military...

Military has always had technology of the first generation while we get 3rd or even lower.

It's all bullshit. There are 1000000000 of rumours about aliens around the world.

Who has all the information on this topic? Military...You'll get the information when it's maybe too late...Lol.

Same with Technology...Military is on the first place and normal people have just no permissions to know about on what technological level military currently is. Senseless...

  • @zimmwarrior well if they told you everything then other people can build defenses against whatever they got...strategy :P

  • Its sad but the fact is technology only really advances during war, so much of our technology from medicine to microwave ovens developed out of military necessity, going all the way back to the first dude who discovered how to melt metal to make swords. Sad but true

  • All these inventors are so quick to give up their technology to the military, it needs to be given up to the people

  • Like MohZeeTV said it will be used to kill or harm individuals but try to dominate is part of life everything tries to dominate something. But if they were succeed then who knows what could happen anything or anyone could be harmed but the government does what the government does we have no control and we will never have a say it will be used for war and war will always exist in this world we will not live without war

  • @MrBillTroop73 it is not up to us to decide who is evil and to kill them only God can judge we leave it in Gods hands. The only people that need to grow up are those who believe fighting will make a difference.

It never worked before and it will never work. So Change your mentality and stop being brainwashed by the media, God gave you a brain...use it.

  • The unofficial use for it is in the Girls showerroom..

  • Hans Solo believes in invisibility but doesnt believe in Force

  • This is a nice video you guys made here, Oh yeah a real nice clip, except you forgot to maybe show some INVISIBILITY STUFF!!!!! I HAAAATE IT WHEN THEY DO THIS!!!!! Nice job ap can't wait for your next enlightening mission.

  • use it to hide your grow :p

  • Why didnt they show us the demonstration? If you or anyone is able to render 3D objects invisible wouldnt you think they'd be dying to get it on camera and show off...

I hate these sort of vids that rant and rave about something they had no plans on showing us..

  • lol nice one

  • and in all that 1.22 minutes there is no demostration i just wasted my time -.-

  • @narutoxpein98 Oh there is, you just haven't seen it. It's invisible!

  • ^ Cloaking video.

    v Nutcase conspiracy theorists.

  • Do I have superpowers if I was able to see two random cylindrical objects sitting on a table, or was this just a pointless video?

  • @831tillidie who wouldnt?

  • thats basically all there creating it for (military) i think it is wrong unless maybe humanity was under an alien attack if they are hostile now big brother could literally watch you?

  • Thumbs up if you came here thinking you would see an example of invisibility.

  • Use it to hide industrial buildings and crack houses.

  • I have come from the future to tell you this was a complete failure. Not in terms of completion of goal but in terms of the devastation on all of mankind. Thievery, murder, and too many more problems are now magnified because of this scientific break through. Man is just not ready nor will it ever be.

  • Lets use it to hide global warming Trololol

  • Peeping ftw

  • That demonstration was AWESOME!!!

  • I thought I was going to see a demonstration... meh.

  • But, Will it blend?.

  • Would have been nice to see a demonstration.

  • "Very thin 2 dimensional objects." uhm.... 2-d objects by definition have no depth. Just sayin'.

  • The most important use would be law enforcement or military application.

  • @yesiamawizardjonny

The police have too much power now, and you want them to be invisible, too?

  • NOTE that they did not show an example. That's because there's nothing to show. These news presses are nothing more than about finding investors to raise funding to further their research which may end up producing nothing.

  • I would like to hear more about the physic of this thing, and show some example of what they can do now...

  • Ninja

  • Great. Now the military will be invisible. Pretty soon all the law enforcement will be invisible too and get us for everything.

  • doesn't light have to then bend back round llawl?

  • hey! you just got stabbed by an invisible person!

  • they're just copying mega mind and his invisible car, be original.

  • what would be a giant kick the balls would be if they made the suit... then lost it >.<

  • A rock in a stream? That's the analogy to the science. They bend MICROWAVES around a 2-dimensional object using a wave guide, which is how microwaves are directed in a microwave oven. It's invisible only on one side, directly in line with the microwaves. It's not even invisible to ordinary light. From any other angle it can be seen. This, in no way, is invisibility.

  • :46 "I don't expect to see practical invisibility cloaks anytime soon". Good. They wouldn't be very useful if you could see them.

  • It is possible, the same principle is shown in transparent materials, so it occurs somewhat naturally. but it is the technology to do it that is the tricky part

  • Ill tell ya...ads before my YouTube videos make me NOT want to buy their crap.

  • @wemusttry get addblock and RIP for firefox (if you use firefox)

  • Meta-Flex Material Makes Invisibility yeep this is true

  • Cloak engaged :)

  • 0:18 anyone else noticed how those blocks looked like a nanosuit...

  • @helldrag0n47 - at :18 it only shows him talking...

  • @es696 in the monitor, behind him.

  • Comment removed

  • wtf was the demonstration invisable cause i didnt see one

  • They've invented the invisible tank already..

  • There was an invisibility cloak bring cloaked by an invisibility cloak

  • LOL funny cause japan already has an invisibilitycloak its called Optical camo search it up

  • hey can u guys see me there?? i was with an invisible cloak!!

    CANT U SEE ME??

srsly i cant.... and i cant also see any invisible thing

thumbs up if the same thing happens to ya...

  • Yes, so, can someone explain the point of showing an empty jar? unless, THERE WAS SOMETHING IN THE JAR ALL ALONG!!

  • That guy's name was Guy.

  • What kind of idiot AP journalist goes to a Berkley lab to report on their breakthrough research into invisibility, then fails 100% to show anything that actually demonstrates what they can do?

It would be like going to the Wright Brothers' shop to report on breakthroughs in flight, and only showing scraps of canvas and wood in a specimen jar.

  • @rmcdaniel423 they did show it, it was just invisible...... dun, dun, dun.....

  • if u had a cloak it would be easyier to run out of trouble in school

  • @mohzeetv. U can't escape war you are just trying to change the enevidable

  • fuck man i really dont wish they achieve it cuz people arent gonna use it for good intentions ofcourse its only gonna be used to kill/rape/rob people...1 more invention that can cause a great harm to humannity..awesome..

  • @Alexxxx44 WELL SAID MAYTE

  • @Alexxxx44 It's not that simple.I worked on that 5 years ago when I worked in radioastronomy and the conclusions of my studies were : you can create invisible objects, but you can't hide something visible like yourself without being inside a meta-material object the size of a 25m² room with just a hole to stand.

We are VERY far from the invisibility clothes ( using this technology ) and I'm not sure it is possible.

Moreover you are not visible in infra-red (Predator could see you ^_^ )

  • @MrLoganCale your are not INvisible in infra-red I meant. You can be seen in infra-red

  • @MrLoganCale Are you speaking on behalf of these scientists?your study might have been different than what they have discovered, from my understanding its a material that can bend light and that can already cover small objects.now im not saying you dont know what you r talking about but that was 5 years ago man, things might have changed.

P.S. predators dont exist and who else is gonna use infra-red if they dont know whats attacking them, gonna take them some time to figure out lol..

  • @Alexxxx44 Well, you're right when you say things must have changed in 5 years.I'm not talking behalf of scientists, I don't have a phd myself ( I asked to do a thesis on this subject but it hasn't been accepted, you know french army doesn't really like when you study that kind of things ^_^ ). I recognized the Electronic Microscope pic on the video, I've done myself something closer, and they haven't got the most optimised shape to tell the truth I can tell it now I don't care ^_^

  • @Alexxxx44 Yes the goal is to bend radiowaves(light),more precisely to diffract it, the wave is doing something close to M.Jackson's moonwalk to sum up.

The incoming wave(light) will be transmitted at 90° because of the material's micro-shape(very simple in fact)

Infra red are currently used by many people, even your 10$ webcam can see the infra-red ( try to rec the TV remote control, you'll see the light ) ... oh see: we've just found a way to detect easily it : the webcam ^_^

  • @MrLoganCale Anyway the point I wanted to show is : maybe it could work one day, but no big deal, even if invisible clothes could be created, they could be easily detected using a simple 10$ webcam or maybe a bit more electronics systems if they improve the clothes systems.

I don't think we have to be scared by this, really it would be more like a "fun" (an VERY expansive) toy than an efficiency weapon.

  • 1:17 what does putting a battery out of the garbage into a jar got to do with invisibility?

  • you guys are all idiots! Build something for the greater good, why is it that you always think about military???? why is everything about military ?? If we had people with great intentions like superman in this world than that would be great but we dont, everyone wants to dominate and take control!! I would love to see this technology because it's really cool, however I hope you are not successful because it will be used to harm individuals.. There's more to this wold than STUPID WAR! GROW UP!!!

  • @MohZeeTV no you grow up and get used to it cause it wont change

  • @MohZeeTV If people were shooting at me invisibility would be pretty handy.

  • @MohZeeTV war sucks, but its still necessary :p besides they did say there would likely be different applications. there are plenty of scientists out there working on cures for diseases, or cleaner energy. military usage appears mainstream today, but when were in peace, it wont

  • @MohZeeTV How about YOU GROW UP!!! And realize that there really is EVIL in this world! And that Evil must be battled or it will take over!

  • @MohZeeTV

    THANK YOU!

finally, i mean, most of these awesome things would be so cool to have normally, but instead, they have to make it for the military, and we can't get it. i mean, if i had an invisibility cloak, it would be so epic! but they make it just for war.

and also, we're already winning, aren't we?

wh not keep this kind of technology to ourselves, cuz if someone dies and the enemy gets a hold of the cloak, then they'll have it, too!

  • @MohZeeTV The only real implementations of invisibility would unfortunately be for combat scenarios. Its a little sad.

  • @MohZeeTV Imagine the terror invisibility suits would bring to a regular town, people would be running around completely invisible possibly committing violent acts, and still remaining unnoticed. Also I don't believe you have the right to call people inventing invisibility suits idiots, I think you are the true idiot here.

  • @MohZeeTV one thing why is it always military, things like this in the grasp of normal people. what do you think that would lead to, lets say a huge drug addict want money for more drugs, and this has been put out to the normal people to use, then he robs a store or a bank. and also, with things like afcanistan war going on it would make a good impact to it to have military assets that cannot be seen, let's say snipers or foot soldiers for an example.

  • i was wearing an invisibility suit in this vid

  • Comment removed

  • @101rudeman Chuck Norris told me he didn't need one.

  • Well if we consider light as a wave we can diffract the wave from an light beam (electromagnetic wave) doing so the wave will go around the object and keep going. Which by then the object will be invincible. For what i know they done successful test with small object with microwaves. However, the problem comes when the object becomes "invisible," because it cannot look at its surroundings anymore since light waves go around him or it.

  • Actually this was a porn video. It was invisible.

  • Another children playing fire situation.

  • ORALE SE MIRA EMOCIONANTE PERO ME GUSTARIA SABER QUE DISEN JAJAJA

  • and one step closer to the master peeping tom

  • if there were to be cloaks there probably gonna cost like a trillion dollors

  • @MrXDr3AMZx Actually, the government does have a project underway for developing a specialized type of cloak rendering the wearer "invisible".

  • Love how the first Application they mention is "Military"

  • @Devintuel well the only other one is gunna be for pervin ...

  • @Devintuel of course it's for the fucking military, what positive use could this ever bring humanity?

  • Either way, the other army will steal it copy it like 2,000,000 times and then there will be an invisibility war!

  • @PivotSpriter It's not that simple. In order to produce such technology, you need money and resources.

  • @fuckoff989 but it will happen if they make this

  • @fuckoff989 Actually no its quite easy. Waiting until somebody inventing it, then steal the plans so you can produce your own without needing half as resources then what the original inventor spent. Many invention copied that way in the past. To think that one of this cloak or whatever is going to the wrong hand once it is finished is very unpleasant.

  • @Devintuel Yes, but to be fair it is by far the most obvious application.

  • @Devintuel Well what other application would you need? honestly.

  • @Devintuel goes to show how good kind and caring the human race is huh :(

  • @Devintuel yeh lol. probably aimed at the 'thieves' market

  • @Devintuel It's the most obvious application.

  • @Devintuel

What practical civilian application is there for invisibility? The only civilians with a need for invisibility are criminals because they can commit crimes without witnesses even in a roomful of people. Do you really want civilians to have this technology so you can be walking down the street one day and suddenly drop down dead because somebody stuck a knife in your heart but got away with it because nobody saw whoever it was?

  • @gamewizard You're sick in the head.

  • @yesiamawizardjonny

Ok smartass, what practical civilian application is there for invisibility other than for illegal or immoral purposes? Only criminals and peeping toms would have a need to be invisible so they can't get caught. Nobody else has any reason to want to be invisible.

  • @gamewizard smoking a fat one without the cops seeing you ;)

  • @debbaOfTheFlanders

The last time I checked that was criminal activity, which only proves my point.

  • @gamewizard jup is a fact if your not diong anything wrong why need it.......but stil i dont consider smoking a joint wrong unless you laced it with something else

  • @gamewizard it would be cool to be invisable to pull the worlds best april fools joke has nothing to do with being illegal or being immoral >_>

  • @lollmaorofl900

And again I have to ask, what PRACTICAL civilian application does invisibility have?

  • @Devintuel What, would you rather invisibility be used for "inner city marketing" applications? Perhaps "invisibility" should be used for applications in civilian life...gee. Save your witticisms, if the first mentioned application is military, there's good reason for that, and though military was the first example listed, the narrator said there were other potential uses.

  • @Devintuel That's called getting government funding. The government will pretty much put money into anything that helps the military.

  • Come on!!! Where's the display of the findings?

Oh wait.... Its already cloaked to start with....lol

  • I cant think of a single moral application for something such as this.

  • I love how people think this is real haha

  • @YosonSolo yeah I even made a vid using that stuff

  • Did anyone else see the fourth researcher? He was the one Showing off the suit.

  • why did they zoom in on a scrunched up piece of aluminium foil in a jar?

  • Then they will make over shields

  • They make us think its still impossible but trust the benefit of that doubt..

  • i think that they are fucking stipid for putting such a potentially vital piece of equipment on the internet!! or even on the news! stuff like this should be top secret! anyone agree?

  • now I can masturbate wherever I want

  • finally i could be invisible when my mom searches me to do chores

  • I think kids would love it for hide and seek!

  • hey jason did you know that your cousin vincent valentine is in a game?

  • Amazing!

I see nuthing interesting! They made all the interesting part invisible! ZOMFG i wanna buy one of that!

  • What people such as @brandilynn71 fail to see is when liberalist, or non conformists whatever u want to call them refer to the military they don't mean the soldiers. They mean the govt behind the soldiers who tell them what to do. So when a passionate patriot like your self spews the words" it's because of the soldiers ur allowed to make such ignorant comments"I scoff with laughter cuz ur blind and stupid u should think about the words said from the opposed side cuz none is bashing our brave s

  • to all the retard looking for something invisible, did you take the time to fuckin listen to what hes talking about, they said he developed metamaterials capable of bending light around an object to make it look invisible... they succeded with microwaves as a first experiment .. now use google and research instead of posting dumb comments thx.

  • @Rel7eGaDe watch?v=Ja_fuZyHDuk&feature=related

  • @Rel7eGaDe Thats a pretty dumb comment.

  • @LockLoaded lol get lost kid

  • @Rel7eGaDe kid? wtf? I'm your daddy and I'm gonna bend light around yo ass til no-one sees me whup it

  • "Made in china"

  • look up cloaking devices look up cloakung ufos look up cloaking traingles look up antigravity helicopter look up antigravity airplane look up visual stealth airplane look up now you see me now you dont look up tokyo professor invisible coat look up trickbusters copperfield look up herbert l becker look up hiding in plane site k up magics biggest secrets finale revealed look up airplane gets caught by ufo look up robert laser ufo

  • where is the invisible thing?

  • @SurfinnBird its invisible... lol

  • i think iraq had this technology 10 years ago cause, we didn't find shit there!

  • whenever he says invisiblility cloak i think of harry potter lol

  • @MissLoveYa13 saME!!

  • no comment u retard

  • And the fucking U.S goes to Iraq and Afghanistan looking for weapons of mass destruction.

  • wtf even if the military uses an invisibility clock.you can still read condensation on the radars

  • peeping tom's ultimate tool for peeping

  • They'll have this technology ready in no time, they've got Gordon Freeman working for them!

  • Create invisible helmets and visors for ice hockey!!! Way too many facial and head injuries!!! Getzlaf and Wisniewski would prolly liked to have had one!

  • ok even if they did bend light around one's self, that person couldn't see because the light is avoiding them.

  • With 11 dimensions so far....3 being visible....

    i think this is nothing.

  • wow thats crazy. you literally can't see the jam in that jar

  • It's invisible!!! Oh right, thats just glass..

  • no use in the military. what about thermal scope.....

  • rapist's best friend. O_O

  • New ninjas suit

  • invisible clothes you cant see im wearing them now

  • well yeah. of course the military applications. in asia, where they're working on the same thing, they think of making walls transparent (i.e. car hulls you can see through). approaching civil applications instead of war-tools is completely alien to the anglosaxons.

  • @MillyVanillification It's such a shame. All because the f'ing military is the biggest welfare-recipient in the USA, and probably in most nations. So, they're the ones who can shit money around and buy up this stuff.

  • Such an intelligent comment, it is people like you who should not be allowed to open their mouths because stupidity just rattles out. It is because of the solider protecting this country that you are even allowed to post such ignorance. And further more people in the military are not rich, if you ever bother to read something, instead of sitting in front of YouTube making stupid comments you would realize the soldiers are not nor have ever been rich.

  • @brandilynn71 You love repeating the same brainwashing religion that is shoved down your throat.

Are you or the military going to blow up the prisons if I were to get arrested for exercising freedom of speech - whether in USA or Europe or Iran?

Unless you do: shut the fuck up.

I'll support or not support whatever wars and soldiers I want.

  • @mphello You just proved me right, with more ignorance. I am not brainwashed, I just believe in supporting our troops, I may not support everything ours government does but at least I am intelligent enough to be able to distinct between the too. You cannot even state your point without cussing and behaving ignorantly.

  • <
