I lived right next to harmon park when this happen. Good thing my wife and son and i had a garden level apt.

@evanellis :38 and :42, 2:54 are all Harmon Park. :38 even has the Harmon Park sign in the background. I took these the morning after and most of the area around Harmon was shut off so it was hard to get good close-up shots.

that was a terrible storm!! The fairgrounds was the worst damage i heard that there still repairing it but i think they might be done our trampoline was lifted up and flew about 19 miles till we saw it again, It was such a sad storm i'm glad no one died!!

Tornados are scary! My father took a rare color film in 1953 when a tornado tore through Worcester,MA.I put it on youtube also.

yea i live in kearney and i was home alone they hit i was only 12 at the time and mom and older brother were out of the house so i was freaking out! it blew away our trampoline and we still dont know where it is lol

I live in Kearney. I didn't even realize that happened to the Little Mexico sign. I was in the state of Washington that week so I missed all the excitement. Goodbye Drive-in theatre :(

i was right where it started and it was sooooooooo scary i started crying and then my uncle was stupid an went outside but he didnt get hurt kearney is the place were nothing bad is suppost to happen well i guess it can always be a safe haven love everyone but no serious injurys thankfully i love kearny and i will always call it my home town!

Kearney Nebraska-Not that far from one of the worst central Nebraska Tornado out breaks in history. Remember June 3rd 1980? Grand Island and the night of the twisters. These twisters tore South Locust to peices. That is when I became a tornado spotter and chaser. We are in tornado alley and this year has proven it. Be safe everyone.
