The backlight turns off after 20 minutes of inactivity. I was concerned about this also, but it says in the owners manual that it will not drain your battery. I dont think led's suck up to much power.
i was thinking about getting one of these kits for a homemade buggy im building. Does it come with everything you need to hook up and go? I saw on some other comments that you need to buy a voltage regulator so you dont fry it??? I dont know much about electronics. Any help is appreciated. Also, I'm using engine from 2001 Buell Blast 500cc due to its simplicity but am not so sure about electrics! It most likely has a voltage regulator already on it that i can hook up vapor to??
@mcskatin i put it on a 250 buggy i had and it worked awesome, really easy to install and gave me no trouble. from another buggy owner i would recomend it

@themaster5557 Thanks for the info. I ended up using the power to the headlight and it works great. Thanks again.
