  • You know tortoises can't swim right?

  • moooooooooooooooo

  • @Tomboy240 Mooo? how so?

  • Yes... part 4 of the musical piece... but part 5 of my animated interpretation! so there!

If you don't believe me - go checkout part 1 and you'll see! :P

  • its part 4 you idiot!!!

  • The Tortoise says : "ehh dup dup drahhwayyyyy!" haha What?!

  • LOL...

I never heard him say that!

    Are you sure?

Because I was under the impression he was saying: "tee dwaaaap kulubulu fong!"

  • As mentioned in my e-mail the title states this is a tUrtoise and not a tOrtoise so we both may confusing the translation.

  • "may BE confusing..." {sigh} that's what I get for being a spelling-nazi...

  • LOL

    You have my absolution...

... and my commiserations too! ;)

  • HAAHHAAAAahaaaa I thought the same thing then saw what your wrote. quite accurate :P

  • My Armenian friend says this translates roughly to ,"I can do amazing underwater 360s".

  • Turtoises don't live in water!... maybe Tortoises do! I have to check QuickyPedia...

  • Wow. That's a great point. Other than the Galapagos Islands variety, all the other tortoises (torti ? LOL!) I can think of ever having seen in person, media,or zoos, live in the desert. Did the original composer screw up or the translation isn't right? We need to get to the bottom of this mystery...

  • Torti?!

Oh man... now I crave tort...

Or any form of cake will do!

  • I just had a vanilla cream donut from the S-burg gas station. It was no french pastry but at least I feel sick now and not so much hungry.

  • Hmmm...

I wish that would work on me... I can eat rotten eggs, get sick to my stomach - and still be hungry!!!

  • These claymation videos freak me out....but they're kinda cool, too!

  • LOL :)

Well, I hope they won't give you nightmares ;)

They're not as scary as Salad-Finger's animation movies - if you know those...

  • naw, no nightmares, just really weird....and no, i don't know those videos....should i be scared??

  • Well, if you have nerves of steel - I'd recommend you look it up here on youtube. it's a bit nerve wrecking lol.

Actually - "disturbing" is the word I'd use.

  • wow- it's kinda like the "Can Can" by Jacques Offenbach's....weird!!!!

  • That's the whole point :)

    just a WHOLE lot slower...

I assume it means Saint-Saens saw the tortoise as somewhat of an elegant being :)

  • this song is supposed to actually be a slowed down version of another song

  • Yes, Jacques Offenbach's Can-Can music. :)

  • It's spelled as tortoise.

Thank you for sharing. Beautifully done!

  • Thanks for the compliment and for the correction

I didn't notice my spelling. lol

Have you seen the rest of the "carnival of animals" bits?

  • Yes, they're all very nice. Saint-Saens must be an animal lover. He could have added more animals especially the common ones like giraffe, whale, monkey, etc.

  • Yes... I often wished it was longer with more pieces... :)

  • Well, I find that he considered a fossil an animal. THEY'RE JUST DEAD BONES!

  • Unless it's UN-Dead animals! ;)

    Muhahahaha!

  • Agreed! LOL! LOL!

  • I should do an Undead movie some day :)

Night of the living Clay, maybe...

  • i actually find this one both hilarious and cute lol

    Saint-Saens was a real jokester

  • I believe so too :)

    But he was also serious.

I really love the "bacchanalia" bit from the opera "Samson & Dalila"... I can hear it in loop for hours!

I also love his 3rd Symphony - the pipe organ one.

  • hey cool vid,do you know the music is actually the "can can" slowed down ?!

  • Yes, a piece by Jaques Offenbach :)

  • Si. Mola! es como decir Cool!.

Yes. Mola! is like you use Cool!.

  • Thanks!

I love learning new stuff everyday...

Muchas Gracias! ;) (is that good?)

  • mola

  • It has a nice ring to it ;)

    Like - Hola!

  • Mola

  • Hmmm... I hope Mola is a good thing... :)

  • >.<

  • >.< Weee! Flying tourtise! Wait, tourtises don't swim.. Oh well. XDD

  • haha :)

This one has a mind of it's own! ;)

  • Very nice underwater effect!

  • Thanks!!!

I actually used a fan with some paper I cut with scissors, which I taped to the fan... and there's a light source behind the waving paper...

  • How did you get the smoky, cloudy effect? Lens filtration?

  • Ummm... don't laugh... but I covered the lense with a transparent glass salad-bowl... or it may have been plastic...

So yes... I guess you may call it lense filteration! :)

  • Whatever works, is what should be used. You're brilliant!

  • Thanks so much!!! :)

    I just wish I was a better business-man... or sales person :)
