  • iv hada a chilean rose for 3 years think its time to move on!

  • They are not AGGRESIVE just DEFENSIVE! I have a big female and she's fairly calm until she feels threatend!

  • Looks like you need a lot more substrate!!! 6"-8" recommended. You even stated they're burrowers. So where's all the substrate? I couldn't tell.

  • I've always wanted a tarantula, but, of course, I wouldn't be happy with a simpler one; I'm in love with the Cobalt Blue and even don't mind the temperament though I wish handling was a better option for us both... Is it absolutely out of the question as a first tarantula? I keep reading advisements against it but I think I'd make a decent owner. I'm not afraid of or allergic to bites and I would purchase a very secure tank, obviously, for less chance of escape; after those, what's the concern?

  • i want

  • there a way to pick up these tarantulas!

  • how much do these cost ????

  • my gf will not let me persuade her to choose a simpler tarantula for her first tarantula =/

  • yeah u should get her a rose hair or a Pink toe for her first a lot better than this one!

  • you should get a P. Metallica

  • Nice spider. My boyfriend recently changed the subtrate in our Mexican Red Knee and Rose Hairs tanks and they weren't too thrilled about it. They climed the sides of their tanks and stayed there until the next day I think.

  • that sucks ..... its comeing to that time for me to clean my 3 t's substrate for the first time =/

  • my friends is abit bigger than that but thats a good size, she is alot more agressive tho

  • aww shes cute iv seen a lot of your videos your amazing with spiders i had a pink toe tarantula but she died =[

i do want another one they are very good pets we also have a sneak

  • "hey bebe" :)

  • it really is a beautiful T, I currently have a Chile Rose and a Baboon T, and have been tempted towards a colbolt blue, think your video just sold her to me lol.

  • yea you didnt have to be a dick lol. but thanks for the info. and i do have 4 Ts in all. but my blue is new so i was curious.

  • hey i just purchased a blue and i was wondering how do i transfer her to her new home. how do you do it.? right now i have 4 Ts

  • dude how did you get her?

  • i dare you to hug her and kiss her lol

  • Wow!! I love tarantulas and this is definitely my fav now thanx for sharing

  • I had a Female Cobalt Blue Tarantula at one time very defensive species didn't like being touched or bothered so I had to be cautious when handling and cleaning the cage.

  • has it ever bitten you and how do you find the sex and could they kill you

  • soo cool.

  • that's insaneee.

    how big do they get?

  • thats a female and their max size is around 6"inch in size

  • what is the most unaggressive species

  • Imao Brachypelma albopilosum.

Grammostola roseas are often recomended but the Grammostola spp can have mood swings.

  • camelspiders

  • red knee t and chile rose are not to bad and good for biginers.

  • @SODAthename rose hairs are pretty docile

  • how much did u pay for that

  • nice spider i like her or him(:

  • Beautiful spider.

Although, I'm now extremely scared.. :P

  • Just got a female cobalt blue. Not sure of its age but she's pretty big. The species truly is insane. I would take a skinny stick like his and gentle bump and rub her legs. She would seem calm for a second then backlash and be defensive. It was a hassle getting her from her purchesd container to her tank. she got loose for a good few seconds but i got her. it really is like the first scene in jurrassic park with the raptor lol

  • what kind of tarantula would you reccomend for a beginner?

  • chilean rose hair

  • thnx

  • u could also buy a mexicn red knee :')

they are my favourite for beginner i think

  • if i'm buyng a tarantula so is it going to be one of them, they are one of the coolest spiecies, the only problem is that they become at least 30 years old xD

  • is that a problem ? =P

  • no xD

  • lol :')

if the brazilian black wasn't so awfull expensive i would really buy one

  • they are cool ^^

  • A dead one!!!

  • Get a pink toe.!! Easy for Beginners and alot more fun then G. Rosa

  • My G.rosea is fairly aggressive. Fucker LOVES to kick hair anytime I handle her for more than 5 min.

  • i recomend a chiliean rose haired t b/c i have one and their awsome pets ...mine i could hold it whenever take it to the store and ppl would trip out and girls would ask a lot of questions..

  • but can they sing?

  • This is an OW specie >_>. I doubt a bee sting would give you muscle cramps for days. That goes without the allergies

  • Oh she's sooo cutey. honestly I love it..

  • Nice video! Did the spider know that you weren't in front of it when you moved?

  • could this spider kill a human

  • there are many words ide use to decribe that thing but beautiful is deffinitely not one of em...

    lol

whatever floats your boat i guess i have snakes

  • you know how some species, you really see the blue, and well.. for me, most species i have seen in real life, they are like almost grey to black.. like you cant even see the blue color. is it because some lucky ones are born with the blue colors, or does it depend on wat angle the light shines on its coat?

  • i thinkthe juveniles show the best blue an as they mature they lose they're colour

  • Why did she remain in the threat posture? Did she feel your presence?

  • To me it is fascinating and scary as well! it's colour is really beutiful (like you said about 10 times^^) Nice video, I'll rate it with 5stars

  • This Thai spiders are some of the most aggressive in the world.

  • Unhandabulble?

  • Very, very beautiful tarantula you have there. You must take really good care of her, it really shows. I don't think I'd ever get one of these, I think I will stick with the fluffy Mexican red-knee tarantulas.

  • good video man!!!!!!!!!!

  • hey lol

my boyfriend wants to get one of these and i think he is going to in a few days but it will be his first tarantula..bad choice?

  • VERY bad Choice. H.Lividum is a very nasty tarantula. for no reason willing to bite/attack. Very defensive tarantula... GEt a G.Rosa and then see if you stick with the hobby. If so work your way up to a H.Lividum

  • seriously bad choice, get a curly legged tarantula

  • WOWZERS!

  • This is my favorite tarantula but too bad it is not for beginner tarantula keepers like me because they are very aggressive

  • "Hey baby"

  • @lvl4biohazard I have the same question! You asked this 9 months ago - did you get one?!

  • Hey dude I got a question if someone could answer it(educated guess please, not just a guess) ,what has worst venom to humans(lethal) Brown Recluse or Colbat Blue?

  • Brown Recluse by far. A Cobalt Blue bite will only make you sick with muscle cramps and spasms for a few days. Nobody has ever been killed by a tarantula. :)

  • i agree, absolutley beautiful species, but hey are extremly agro.

  • I HAVE HOLDED A COBALT BEFOR

  • how do i sex my cobalt blue, i got it today but im not sure what sex it is. its about 3-4cm across at the moment and no blue yet.

  • sex by see the abdomen and the "head" thr got hole or not ... if got than congrat is a baby boy ^.^ cobalt blue u also can sexing thru the colour .. male usually browish compare to female that metalic blue

  • The best way to sex any tarantula is to wait for a molt. YOu can do a visual check but a molt will usually confirm sex. Adult Females will be blue and males tend to be brown.

  • They're ok to handle, they will bite but its just like a bee sting.

  • Some tarantulas are ok to handle, like a but not that one. H Lividiums are fucking insane, extremely fast and they WILL bite the shit out of you.

  • The H.Lividum shouldnt be handled, But can be done. I wouldnt. The bite isnt anything like a bee sting. Very bad side effect's. But the color is well worth the danger.!!! I love this girl

  • is this species venomous? How dangerous is the bite?

  • Hm, i have few questions.

First off, how much are they?

    Second, what is her name?

And lastly, not a question, but that is a beautiful specimen you got there. Take good care of her

  • people shouldn't have these as pets im not a tree hugger or nuthin but they need a lot of space and nature so they can roam and have families

  • oh my god... youve got to be kidding me. tarantulas hardly roam around anyway unless there looking for a mate.. they usually find a good hiding spot or burrow and thats where they stay untill they have to move somewhere else. they are one of the animals i would say are perfectly happy in captivity as long as they are cared for properly.

  • I'm gonna have to agree here. It's not like a snake or a lizard, really. Long as they have food they can be content.

  • PS: How do you clean her cage out when you said these type of breeds are unhandable?

  • Very nice colour :-)

  • ive never had a spider.. but ive always wanted one.. can you recomend a certian species.. and how to care for it properly?

  • i think there was one like that for sale at the pet shopw where i buy from and the owner handled on like it but i was fats for sure but didnt bite. if you handle them wath could happen and what the best *big* spiders for beginners?

  • what do you think of my tarantulas

    comment on mine plz!

  • wow thats a beauty and i hate spiders its so beautiful!!!!

  • these blue creatures must have a burrow area...if not they get sooooo pissed...and there fangs a huge as fuck...if they dont burrow dont put ur hand in there they will cling on and not let go

  • sometimes.this cobalt has lots of room to burrow but doesnt. Takes a hide i put in the tank and hides there

  • arent they like rare?

  • i have a cobalt blue, its like having a pet hole.iv had it for 3 or so months and only seen it twice....do you have any ideas for housing this kind of specimen,so its not burrowing but all so not stressed out?

  • that´s a beautiful animal you have there bro, congrats! I´m planning on getting a rosea first, cause I never had a spider before.

  • cool check out my other videos

  • How many years of expierence of handling tarantulas should you have before purchasing this species?

  • depends. I wouldnt say you need years at all.

Just understand that this species is very fast and aggressive. If i was you i would read up on old world tarantulas. This tarantula would attack and bite for no reason. They have be held before it can be done but not likly. On the other hand they are amazing. Great color fun to keep. Just gotta be ready to deal with the tarantula if it gets out or if you put in a spot where it happens

  • What type of housing he should get her???? Cork bark or any type of housing so she can burrow so yea

  • Here is a list that the breeder says he should have

    10 Gallon Tank

Regular Potting Soiln no fertilazier, no chemicals and stuff like that enough 5-6 inches to burrow into.

a waterdish, heating pad keep in a warm room,

now, he asked about gettin peat moss but the breeder said u dont necassarlty need to get that, as long as the cobalt has something to burrow into she should be fine

    and he wants to know

  • I have an H.lividum, it's posted as a response to this vid. Potting soil and/or peat moss works the best. It's strong enough to make a burrow. Vermiculite although, it keeps the humidity up is a poor choice, because it's too light. Water dish may be a good idea, although I mist my lividum's cage twice a week to keep the humidity up. I personally don't recommend a heating pad for any T. Some T's like the cobalt tend to burrow. As mjellyg puts it, it will cook your T. Hope this helps

    Jon

  • Hey dude what would be the calmest T other than a rose hair? ^_^

  • Eupalaestrus campestratus (pink zebra beauty)or grammostola aureostriata (chaco gold knee)

  • Chaco Golden Knee are amazing as adults. The Zebra beauty is Amazing in its own right. If i had to pink i would go with the zebra beauty. Just less common and something different

  • Really depends. There are alot of tarantulas that are calm and you can handle. Just depends of what your looking for.. Stay away from oldworld tarantulas. They are normally aggressive

  • what is the best for my first tarantula because im trying to get rid of my phobia

  • Grammostola rosea is the calmest tarantula in the hobby :)

  • Some roseas (mine) can be psychotic.

  • G. Rosea are very calm but at the same time can be very nasty. They are standard for first time Tarantula owners. But can be nasty. Most kick hairs as a first and then bite.

  • If you have a phobia i wouldnt buy a tarantula until your over it. You wouldnt want to take a risk harming your T.

  • you ever happened to own a zebra knee? thats a pretty nice spider. she only reared on me twice, and that was because she went flying out of her terrarium and landed on the bed on her back. but otherwise, shes quite docile

  • I have a zebra (A.Seemanni). However, DarthTwilight, my specimen is the polar opposite of yours. I found mine to be very skittish and slightly defensive. Such a nice T to own.

  • nice video cobalt blues are very beautiful. i'm a beginner with T's and i've had a rose hair for a while and i'm looking forward to getting either a pink zebra beauty or a mexican red knee. can you help me with my choice or give me some advice?

  • Both nice T's For a beginner. I would go with the red knee.

  • I agree with mjellyg. I would go for PZB tho, cause it doesn't kick hairs as much as the redknee if it's agitated. I have both, and they're handeable. My rose hair is slightly defensive but not as much as the cobalt i just got. Man it has issues.

  • sorry about that i didnt know if myy first comment was posted or not so read the one were it says i got my chilean rose hair one as well with the dates in them and if it is to long of a comment then just leave me a msg

  • I wouldnt put the heat pad under the tank i would put it to the side. Cobalt blue (h. Lividum) like to dig. So the will dig down and cook if you have the pad under the tank

  • Take the heating pad from under the tank.!

  • Colbat Blue T... and it keeps climbing to the top and she never goes near her burrow that i made for her as well seems like she likes to spend more time at the top then in her own burrow and also my water dish but should i just spray her is pretty big but like i said its a 12x12x12 cage so she doesnt have a lot of room to move around because the breeder said the less room the longer life span the get to have so i saw ur vid beautiful T really so i will check back to see if u replied

  • hey i just got my very first Colbalt Blue Tarantula and a chilean rose hair and i wanted to ask u i got some potting soil and peat moss mixed together with a heating pad underneath the tank its a 12x12x12 tank n all and she keeps climbing to the top i got her yesterday Nov16 and today is the 17th but she......

  • Nice T you have there. I have a collection of 12 Ts, soon to be 16. Im deciding on getting either the pokie formosa (have a regalis, getting an ornata)or the trinidad chevy? Which is the better pick? Come check my channel :)

  • As for your P. ornata One of the largest leg span of all the "Pokies", P. rufilata contending, and largest arboreal tarantula! Olive overall with jet black markings, and thickened femoral fringe. Underneath they sport bright canary yellow along with orange.

Your trinidad cheveron is smooth moss green as adults, with orange "lightning Bolts" on the metatarsus, and tarsus, also with nice chevron markings on the abdomen. Can reach 7", They are Underrated in the hobby, and are such beauties!

  • Ya, I collected Ts since I was 12, but what is cooler to have the formosa or the cambridgei?

  • Both amazing Tarantulas but if i had to pick i would pick the Formosa. But thats just me. The cambridgei are nice but the formosa is just really cool. Amazing colors as adults. Very exotic looking!

  • Hi mjellyg, I got the formosa. I must say it is very exotic looking. I just got myself a very bad tempered H.Lividum. Man its so aggressive, if u look at it funny, it attacks. Come check my vid on it.

  • GREAT CHOICE MAN..CONGRATSS... YEah ill check them out!

  • i love h. lividums!! i have one myself. yours is nicer than mine lol. just a little bit ago i had to make her a preformed burrow so i tried to get her out of her cage and that took me about 30 mins because she tried to escape a few times. very beautiful yet very aggresive.

  • YEAH VERY AMAZING TARANTULAS!

  • Great video! You know, when you close the cage and leave them alone tarantulas don't really move much. 0_0

Man, if I were you, I'd be scared to death if I had accidentally dropped my camera in that cage.
