  • omg - used to see them at the Kirk M'bro in the 70s - one night John's lute(?) wouldnt work and he threw it down on the the stage in temper lol Wonderful live band,,still got the vinyl,,,miss the 70s

  • Evokes wonderful memories of the 70s and the girls I loved in those far-off days who also loved their magickal music.

  • Brings back many happy images of the 70s. Absolutely magickal, and superb musicians who deserve a wider fame than they did in those far off days.

  • man in middle, john gladwin, lovely voice, known him for a few years now, lives up in the lincolnshire wolds near belmont tv mast

  • still amazing!

  • I have been longing to see Amazing Blondel since the early 70's and this has brought back so many wonderful memories. They are quite simply my favourite group of amazing musicians. This always makes me cry!

  • Questa musica è eterna. Se volete ascoltare qualcosa di bello uscito di recente andatevi ad ascoltare il disco dei MIDLAKE, "The Courage Of The Others", vi piacerà!!!!!

  • Brilliant!Fantasia Lindum is a milestone in Music history!!

  • Meravigliosi!!!!

  • Semplicemente fantastici!!!

  • Just have seen : being a german I am not allowed to listen to some Amazing blondel tunes. I know it will bring nothing, but i like to curse the person who are doing this, curse to their children also.

Not allowed to rest? Is there any- or something in this music dangerous? CURSE!!!

  • Thank you ! You will never know what your tunes give , keep on giving !

  • the most beautiful sound to come from man x

  • I was fortunate enough to watch them perform Celestial Light in Lincoln Cathedral in the 70's. A wonderful night and the start of my admiration for these fine musicians. Thanks for the memories guys.

  • whilst searching for The Strawbs, we came by your session. Very beautiful and accomplished. Thank you.

  • The harmonies on this track are in my opinion the best in any genre of music. As good as ever. I have Mulgrave St as well as the England album. The change in appearance & time has been kind as well.

  • Great Music@@@@@

  • Fortunately i have kept all my "plastic" & these guys are amongst my nostalgic collection of mid 60s to early ninties vinyl, lovely to see this video reminded me of the gigs they did 74/75 i think, at the free trade hall Manchester. must dig out ticket stubs & progs .

Where has Jo Gladwins long golden locks gone? whoops!!! same place mine went, how time flies.

VERY TALENTED MUSICIANS, this is my fav track.

From a METALHEAD,Sabbath, Hendrix to Enter Shikari!!! cds to mp3s.

    Mellow thnx 4 postin

  • Great musicians!

  • I saw them at Stirling University in the early '70s and remember their humour - "a shawm sounds like a tuned fart" and "'Fantasia Lindum' translates from the Latin as 'disease of the bowel'"!

  • Also saw them at the same gig! small world!!!

  • Saw them in 1968 at Maidstone Art College and they've stayed in my memory ever since. Shame my ex-wife knicked their LP.

  • I realle love Amazing Blondel! They are the greatest, so harmonic and just .. well plainly awesome :)

  • Way to go Uncle John and the rest of Amazing Blondel you still sound as great as ever x

  • Still as amazing after all these years!

    Ars longa, saeta brevis!

  • As much as I love watching and listening to them - I also love that there are still folks who really appreciate them. We may be small in numbers, but we're around!

  • Ars longa, vita brevis

  • vera musica celestiale! fantastici

  • Lovely! Thank goodness for YouTube. My dad introduced me to this band years ago. I'm so glad he did. :-)

  • My uncle introduced me to this some years ago, are'nt we lucky........Beautiful

  • Someone once married me because I had the complete Amazing Blondel catalog. left the albums when I last moved. Big mistake. SO was marrying the dude.

  • Slightly, shoot, I had the same ! I was on a trip to East Africa & on my return, albums had been lent never to be sen again !!!!! So ended a relationship, I sent her away, far away !!!

  • @SlightlySusan

now you can get almost all the cd on the shops or on youtube and other places in the internet. be happy!

  • Ah, memories! I was at Amazing Blondel's reunion gig in Cherry Burton and am still besotted with them. Sad that they seem to have just fizzled out. Thank goodness for Youtube!

  • What a great voice the lead singer still has, but, then men do not go through menopause.

  • I have been following them for about 30 years. Excellent job on this live performance.

  • These guys are amazing!

  • These guys are trully AMAZING!

    Luv from Brazil, guys!

  • really amazing!^^

  • Ah, this brings back memories, I have this LP. I think they've lost a bit of hair since the 70's!

  • I want more!

  • This is amazing! Since discovering Amazing Blondel in my Dad's record collection I've been on a one man mission to spread the word!

  • You're not alone!!

  • What a great surprise to find this on YouTube (where else?).I was a dedicated fan and saw them twice in Oslo in the mid 70's. I still listen to the old LPs once in a while, at least the three first where they're still "Amazing". Great to see them play together again. Just tragic that I didn't know they were here in Norway just four years ago.......Are they still playing together, I wonder?

  • Nice musicianship. Always admired their carefully crafted arpeggios. Did you know that a straight crumhorn sounds exactly the same as a bent crumhorn?

  • Whatever it is, it makes them both smile!

  • WONDERFUL!!!

Only 34 years have passed since I first saw them(Marquee 9th of August 1974, + Ian Fleming)and the atmosphere is still the same.

    Ciao!!

  • Oh, wow! This is a wonderful piece of music from a terrific group. First saw them at Skipton Castle when they were supporting Julie Felix, but they played this and totally blew me away! Been a fan every since - nearly wore out the three vinyl LPs until CDs came along and now this .....! Thanks so very much for posting.

  • Lovely stuff! Great to see the famous crumhorn in play.

At 0:30 is Eddie giving John a secret sign of some sort?!!
