  • I loved the R38s and Im a huge fan of the R32s, despite their dark interiors. It makes the ride interesting to me. its funny how people are saying that the R32 fleet is retiring in spring of 2010 but i highly doubt it. We at the end of January of 2010 now so If that was the case, U'd see other cars run on the C by now. I have a feeling that R32s will stick around longer than most had expected. hey i'm not complaining cuz R32s are the best in the train system. I love them on the A line.

  • damn right they screwed up i love the r38s they were the best. Fuck the new r 160s

  • Imagine if the R38's were built by Budd and were not rebuilt by GE? They'd probably last longer than the R32's because they broke down less often but would still have shiny strong bodies like the R32's.

  • probably, R38s had the highest MDBF of all retiring cars, but i hate their dark and dirty interiors and i know you do too. imo, R38s and R42s have the worst interiors of all cars

  • their dark interiors are GE's fault.

  • come to think of it, 10 R32s were rebuilt by GE and they had the same interiors as the R38s. they are dark and dirty because of the illuminated advertisments provide poor lighting and the beige floor panels are very suspetible to dirt.

  • hey 4098! the last of 2 subway cars to be in service

  • And to history for the R38, RIP
