３０年近くたってもピテカンラストライヴでケンジとヒサコが歌っ­ていた曲が何だったのか気になり調べて…。

辿り着けて良かった。良い歌でよかった。

I was so busy writing the comment below that I failed to see that this has the great picture of Charlie and Margaret Ann. Also, I see it was written by Allen Rich and Margaret Ann. Allen now calls himself Charlie Rich Jr.

Great song and who better to sing it than its co-author Charlie Rich- a song he wrote with Margaret Ann his wife- she died in July. There is something a little haunting about the song and arrangement. Interesting to read below it is not on CD I have looked out for it but will make do with my album version and this posting. I work on the basis that you cannot get enough Charlie Rich into your life- he's a big part of mine- the best. Someone needs to post that piccy of Charlie and Margaret Ann.

I believe the stereo master tape was lost on this song, as early as the Besf of Charlie Rich Vol. 2 back in the early-mid 70s. Even the Rajon has the wow-flutter at the end indicating that it was mastered off a 45 (believe it or not). It was Charlile's first single on Epic, charted, maybe his most beautiful tune, but was never on a CD best-of - I think because there was no master tape. I own the original 45 single, had it on a best-of-country-music cassette. Same audio problems as the Rajon.

Thanks for posting this song. I have been looking for it for at least the past 15 years. My dad used to have it on an old 8-track tape that was destroyed before I could record it. It seems that it is a very rare song as I could never find it.
