Zen stone's are really the ultimate durability mp3 player..i've had mine for like 4 years now.. it's survived dropping (dozens&dozens of times) dogs gnawing on it, even the occasional dip in a puddle, sure it's a little etched, but it's only got 1 hair-line crack in it after years of torture, the batterey life (started out) at about 12 hours (modest volume) then eventually went down to 10, but still.. an entire day's work with something that can fit in your coin-purse pocket, the thing's amazing

how loud can this play? i recently bought a pretty expensive mp3,.. and it couldnt play that loud, i could hear the cars etc way higher than the music, could barely hear it,.. it was awful..

i've got the 2gb version, i got it from amazon for 40 bucks. haha, a whole gig for the same price. only down side is that there's no screen on it... and i could use a good bit more memory
