Sunshyne that JBCO made my hair shed I put that castor oil straight out the bottle on my scalp 3 times a week and wash my hair once a week and I am on a regimen do i need to mix other oils to my JBCO or what help me.

can you mix CO with a moisturizer? oil is not good for the scalp

@ICeCReamxLoverr oil is not good for the scalp it clogs the pores and attracts dirt and it does not moisturize. If you want to use it as a seal to the hair it is ok but not the scalp.

hi! i did the chalenge but had to post pone it because i had to get my hair braided. can i still apply castor oil to my hair while it s braided and will that also help ny hair gain some length?

@TheTrinisweet not at all, as long as its cold processed/pressed than it should be perfect. (ie, the darker and thicker it is, the more potent it is, which is alot better. you will recieve the benefits better and faster)

Question: What ratio do you recommend mixing the castor oil with another oil? I am natural and I currently use coconut and avocado oil mix on my scalp and coconut oil and shea butter in my hair. I am interested in filling in my edges, but the rest of my hair is very thick so I wouldn't need it full strength in the rest of my hair. Thanks in advance!

How do you use the castor oil before shampooing or after?

I did the first challenge, i would reccomend you massage it directly onto the scalp after you shampoo, so it can penetrate better.

If you do it before, it will most probably just wash out like excess build up. Good luck!!

i would reccomend using straight up castor oil. I tried it with the HB castor oil for a month, then switched to the natural oil, and believe me the results are much better. Good luck!!!

You have to know that I was in Hairlista, quickly added a tab for youtube and BAM, here you are announcing the challenge! I am going to go right through it even though I am quickly approaching my touch up as I am post 16 weeks at month's end and loving the results of the daily moisturizing. So I'll just relax and enjoy the 'immediate' new growth, lol! Thanks for your advice and example.

No, it has to be pure castor oil. You can find it in your local drug store (walgreens, cvs, rite, walmart, etc) i got mine from rote aid for 4.99
