Konami only pursued copyrights relating to Rondo of Blood, it pretty much doesn't care about anything else. Besides I'm sure they think that any exposure Castlevania gets is worthwhile. Square Enix are just bastards.

Firstly, it's an arrangement of "Beginning". Secondly, it's the version of Beginning found in the Sega Saturn version of Dracula X: Nocturne in the Moonlight (Japanese Symphony of the Night).

This looks like a great remake, even if it is not made by Konami. The music is good and the graphics are decent considering that it is fan made and 2D. It's just to bad that it was never finished and is only on the computer. I wish Konami would make a remake of Castlevania 3: Dracula's Curse simular to this fan made remake of the game.

man i ,m astonished about the fact that the graphics and sounds are dramatically improved,

nor manny sound effect,s are to over richt but,

despites the nes/famicom game dit had a chip to extends the power of both the 8bit consoles.

the graphics were looking very garbed and cartoonisch and it was sometimes hard to distinguich the objects from the backgrouds etc,,, and the game requires special skills.

this could be a great game for the snes/psx if it was finished,unfortunately!!!!!!

This was actually a fan made re-make that was unfinished. I wish they would have finished it, it would have been perfect.

Its something I still wish Konami would do because it would mean another Chronicles. After all, Castlevaia Chronicles on the PS1 was another re-release that was awesome. ^_^

Let me repraise that: The fan made musical pieces are definitely hot. From the Saturn version of NitM, I love the "Beginning Variation" score however Dhsu's version of "A Clockwork Vampire" has truly found a place in my heart as well.

Actually, you're only HALF right. What they did was they took Fake Trevor's sprites from Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. Fake Trevor didn't have certain frames, such as injury frames or stair climbing, so those had to be made from Richter's sprites. In short, it's a half-and-half thing.

Actually that sprite is even older, it was originally going to be for Richter on an unreleased 32X Castlevania tentatively called Bloodletting. It was meant to be a direct sequel to Rondo of Blood starring both Richter & Maria, but the 32X wasn't going anywhere so they scrapped the idea but kept some sprites for Symphony of the Night.
