My New HP G60-127NR Notebook PC

@stelthblend Yes this can be used as a mainstream system. Look for one that has 320GB HDD or save your self some money, get a 160GB HDD like I did and pick up a 500GB HDD for around 30-40 bucks. If you take that route I recommend buying a Western Digital My Book 500GB. I paid around 40 dollars for mine.You can always choose to have more space too with those external hard drives, but the price goes up of course, just a nice recommendation. Hope that answers your question.

No the laptop does not over heat, but I use a cooling pad. There are no problems with the charger, I haven't had any yet. The AMD x2 64 is actually really nice. It is a 64 bit processor, so you can run 64 bit edition of windows. Also a dual core.

Actually it's because yours costs more, I didn't need 320 gigs, so I didn't get it. I have a WD MyBook 500gb External HDD, so If I ever needed that extra space I already have it.

Well the only two ways I know how to adjust the volume is by holding the function key that the [fn] by the left ctrl button and hitting the plus and minus buttons on the num pad, and doing it through the task bar.

Oh, that locks the track pad. Good for watching movies or something that you wouldn't want to accidentally hit any buttons.

No, this laptop is very light, it's your basic mid-size laptop. I am very satisfied with it and I think you will be too. The trackpad is very smooth to the touch, it feels glossy and smooth, you will also like the track pad.

Umm you could try looking under the options for the track pad. All you have to do is go to Synaptics Pointing Device its the little red icon on the taskbar should be next to the battery icon or something like that. Any questions just send me a message hope that helps :)

For an enthusiast, no. For the casual, lower end gamers, yes. This is no pure gaming machine, it will run your DX10 and all that but don't expect this to run Crysis or any higher end game like that. Hope that helps ya out :)

OK, the G60-114ea is Intel, and the G60-127NR is AMD. The G60-114ea I believe Cyberlink Youcam doesn't let you upload vids to youtube I'm not sure why, it's what I've heard. The G60-127NR comes with a better graphics card (in my opinion). Basically that's it.

i got the g60 123cl a month ago, nothing but problems. keeps saying hp recovery space very low, cyberlink youcam wont let me upload video to youtube, and enternet explore stops working. does have 320gb hard drive, if you get a working one, it should be great! mine has some settings that must be set wrong. also my doesnt have lightscribe!!!

I'm sorry yo hear that. That problem with the recovery being too low, I think that is because of either having recent problems with that partition, or there simply isn't enough space. I will continue to look into that. Thanks for the comment:)
