i live 15 miles away from leavenworth and from living so close i can say its nothing but a tourist town, i know people who live there, they hate it. lol some good celebrations there tho.. one of the few place in america that celebrate oktoberfest..so that a plus

well, yeah...that's the purpose of it. That's why it was built the way it is, to bring in tourists. So, why would a tourist care about people hating it who lives there. Seems like pretty cool place to visit.

We love Leavenworth and always go to the Munchen Haus for awesome brats and beer and the gorgeous view on their upper deck. Also, you have to stop at the woodshop/hat shop for a little something for the kiddos. LOVE IT!
