  • where is this forest?

Looks like the Olympic Peninsula in Washington state in the

pacific Northwest of USA, but rarely gets so much snow at low elevations.

  • This is the first time I have heard this music........ I must delve deeper.

Thank you for opening another door to music for me.

  • There is nothing like this music. It doesn't come from here.

  • hahaha my full name is Erik Satler :)

  • it gently massages my brain

  • Gracias. Bien hecho.

  • My library had a four-disk CD set of Erik Satie compositions. Needless to say, I ripped it all to my computer. :D

  • in which entheogen this movie is based on? are the walking man high? congratulations, very introspective and visionary

  • Landwithoutbread, could you please tell me who performs these versions? I find them very freeflowing and lyrical...

  • The first piece(no. 3) sounds quite a bit faster than it does on my grade 6 piano cd.

great video though it's exactly how

i imagined it in my head when I listened to it.

  • The images of winter go perfectly with the frostbitten harmonies...i feel cold :). Satie has touched my soul.

  • when i hear satie i actualy forget words like 'soul'. it's loosing it's meaning, everything just lighting up in a moment of human weakness.

  • 4:55 very touching.

Anyways, I love Erik Satie. You did a great job.

  • hey, from 3:06 onwards it seems to be another composition? if so, what is the name?

  • the first composition is Gnossienne No.3, the second composition is Gnossienne No.4.

  • cheers man, i didnt know there were 4,5 and 6

  • There is also a composition informally known as his 7th Gnossienne, although he did not label it as such, it is extremely similar in content and style as the rest of the Gnossiennes. It can be heard towards the end of the music he wrote for the 1st act (not the prelude) of "Le fils des etoiles." It's damned near impossible to find a recording of it though... maybe I'll post one sometime.

  • what's funny is i heard he actually didn't number them. whoever published them or w/e just put them in order to how it felt it should feel.

no. 4 sounds a tad too fast than the versions i've heard.

    its my fav tho :)

  • lovely. Satie wrote this music in his head as he walked, hours and hours, every day through out Paris...

  • Mi maestro escucha esta música desde el cielo

  • this music seems to speak to my soul...

  • Satie innovated harmonics field in such a way that we have to read on sites or books ho impressive it is ! I invite you all.
