And I think Shinn and Warren have two completely different voices that comparing them is stupid. Shinn's is airy, Warren's is gruff, the ranges are dissimilar, and the main difference is

Warren is in Blind Melon. Shinn never was. So why compare Blind Melon to Unified Theory when it's a) It's two completely different bands and b) They both make beautiful music.

I agree the new ablum should never have been associated with Shannon's work...it was mediocre at best.

I was really disapointed. I figured that there would still be enough chemistry between the remaining members to write a great instrumental and select a singer that would do the Melon name justice.

It wasn't funky, quirky, bi-polar (in a good way), like there previous work...

I hope not, I want this whole blind melon thing to end, blind melon were my favorite band, I think they should have changed their name when Travis warren jumped on board coz there is only one blind melon. I hated that last Blind Melon album, maybe if they had changed their name I wouldnt have been expecting much from it, but when an album is released by a band called "blind melon" im expecting greatness, it fell short. If they wanna continue im suggesting new vocalist and new band name.

Are You Sure this is what REALLY happened? Or, Is this Your Take On what happened? Either way ,Shannon shouldn't be compared, Travis shouldn't be compared,or Chris Shinn..They each are amazing.. I do feel that if chris shinn was supposed to be with blind melon, why were they unified theory? Not quite sure what you are asking... Unified Theory has been seperated for about 6 years. Brad and Christopher decided to release a 2nd album (consisting of songs they recorded 6-8 years ago). The album can be found at rhapsody and will be released via iTunes soon. Brad and Christopher are back with Blind Melon. Chris Shinn is now fronting "Everything is Energy". He actually has many cool things going on. Krusen plays for a band called Novatone... He is also Cheyenne Kimball's drummer.

Thanks for posting this! They have some great songs, like California (accoustic) and Self Meditate. I like Unified Theory because the singer sounds like Shannon, but I kinda don't like it cuz he sounds like Shannon. It's bitter-sweet....but in the end, they do rock.
