I remember i saw the scariest thing.... (Ive handled huge snappers..) I was fishing at a pond once... I went over to the edge and i saw A HUGE snappers head.. probably the biggest i have ever seen. This here is quite a big one, but the one i saw i will never forget.... It didnt even get scared when it saw me... Im guessing it was 200 Pounds.. Normally, I wouldnt guess over 30 lbs, but the head on this thing was bigger than a tire.
motherfucker is huge i want to get one like a little baby i used to have one till it got way to big and i throwed him back in my pond i miss him but i see him every ounce in awhile and i fee him mice one time i throwed a baby mouse in my pond and he came up so fast and got the motherfucker lmao
that turtle is amazing. so big! it's great that you have a safe home for them, they are such wonderful misunderstood creatures. I have at least 12 in my large pond, they are awesome!
That turtle has got to set records! Did you see on the show Dirty jobs the zoologist said they live over 150 years, they know this because they found musket rounds lodged in their shells from the civil war! Now that's a fun fact. Nice to see you taking care of them, I live in IL and our neighbors from the south stole our monster snapper that was in a huge tar bucket with water, in the back of a truck and we didn't know ppl ate them, so wen we herd southerners do, we knew who stole it. Fuck!
Hi my name is michael wells. I've been marinated in nut sac my entire life. My dad is known as uncle nudity. He likes to walk around naked or just with a wash cloth over his tool. I have to beat his pouch daily and have ot wrestle nude with him all the time. Lahh. Wong sha boute. Fukka pouch.

woah i gotta let Poof go when hes about as big as mai hand or my mom will end up with a daughter with no fingers. he came from the lake, though. hes a tiny hatchling and i think hes a ally snapper, his shell has spiky ridges on it
wow. I am very interested in that turtle. I live in Louisiana and if you could catch that turtle from your pond then I will give you $800 for it. I can pick it up if you wont
I wont to find one to just keep its shell. Is this guy for sale? I will pay $800 for it. I live in louisiana and if you could catch it I would come by there and buy it from yall
I findit so weird as big as alligator snapping turtles are they have fear of predators? What on earth would try to eat a 20 pound snapping turtle lol?
@shukaku lol biggest alligator snapper i saw was on the bank of a lake and i thought it was a boulder...to my surprise it moved into the water when i went to sit on it =\
He's in our pond, along with about 35 other logger heads, but I wouldn't call him a pet. We enjoy feeding them so can to see them, but I wouldn't go swimming with them :)
So how old would you say the oldest one in your pond/lake/water thing there? I wouldn't be surprised if you have one that may be 140 years old. God I love turtles! You should post up more! Its epic.
This is so cool! I had three newly hatched baby common snappers at my koi pond 2 years ago, and I loved it! I would like one as a pet, but they just get too big, and you have to be very careful not to get bitten!
I have 12, my Grand got his when he was in his 30's passed it to my Dad, then he Died not long ago and now The Old Man is with me. Grand use to call him Big Daddy too, my Dad changed it to Old Man years ago. He is 75 years old and wieghs 50 pounds. He is a common snapping turle nnot a Allie. I would really like to see more videos!! Thanks for posting, Joseph T (fly2000jtb)
We are very aware of what they can do. This is our pond its in. We have put over 36 of them in there to keep people from killing them. This is one of the biggest but not the biggest we have. Have been catching snapping turtle since I was 10 :)
we had a normal wild snapping turtle living in my lake and it was bigger than that one. i was fishing one day off my dock and had my fish on a stringer in the water. when i was done i pulled the bass out of the water and all that was left on them were their heads. lol. and they were big bass. but the turtle was atleast 2 feet across. i mean it was a giant. if you went into the 20 feet deep water you could just see a big grey blob crawling on the bottom.
clearly he's been raising these thing since they were babies. a regular snapping tutrle would never rise to the surface like that for the fear of predators. yeah it could have turned out bad but clearly he's had this thing for a while
NO, We have not had him long, put him in about 4 years ago. We would not be alive to see him this big if we had him since he was a baby. It takes a turtle a long time to grow this big. He comes to the surface because he knows he will get fed, just like any animal who comes to you for food when you feed them every day.
why dont you put your hand a lil closer
