  • rest in peace Jared Roe. i miss you bud.

  • if everyone wants world peace then why is there war? i dont understand the world anymore...

  • @mcherrick12 There's never going to be world peace as long as there's sin in the world. Why there's war is because we're protecting our rights as a free nation from enemies who want to take away that right. So I thank God everyday for everyone serving and for those who've died in service protecting our beautiful country.

  • @MsDisneyObsessed

still i dont know why we cant all just be thankful and happy with what we have, instead of having to fight to keep what we have. its taking a innocent mans/ womans life and taking people away from their familys and friends. :(

  • This is why war needs to end. People's lives shouldn't end like this. It's heroic, but sad.

  • Love this song.

  • I lost my dad in 2007 on May 30th. Please give your respects. I lost him when I was 9! I hope to go to arlington when I die too. God Bless America!

  • @breyersafari12345 there is omly one way to arlington serve this nation

  • I really like these kind of videos because I lost my dad in May in 2007 and I'm only 12! I also had to go through the funerals and the 21 guns and the helicopters and the coffin and all the emontional things that are too emotional to post. If you havn't lost your DAD, who was gone serving more than he was home and who also had a strong relationship with their first daughter. Oh I thank you for making this video. Sometimes I just need to cry and this always helps.

  • Arlington, that was the formal plantation of General Lee. They steal it! Very good Yanks!

  • Lee was a traitor to the Government he swore to serve. He lost his land because he believed in something and stood by what he believed it.

He was also willing to die for what he believed in.

  • Well, that Traitor really kicked some Yankee ass and he, Lee didn't die in the CV

  • Learn to read: he was WILLING TO DIE...

    Southern Population in 1860 9.1m

    Battle deaths: 94k

    Norther Population 22m.

    Battle deaths: 110k

Other Deaths both sides were between 400k and 700k. The South allowed twice as many of their prisoners to die than the north. More northern prisoners died than battle deaths of both sides.

lee caused the death of over 250k prisoners and he was a traitor.

For some reason you are telling me you are proud of this?

  • well, Lee forbid his man to steal cattle from nothern folks. Sherman ORDERD his man to murder, rape, steal etc the southern people

The southern did not everything good, thats right

But the Yanks were the bad guys

    I can't be proud, because i ain't a confederate(i'm Dutch)

But i know a lot about the American Civil war

  • so sad but i luv it this is my fave song

good job trace luv the song!

and thx 2 all the soiders tht keep us free!

  • I cried. I always do. I'm training for the Green Berets. I hope to be able to solute these fallen hero's one day as brothers.

  • @Rassedian if your training to be, are, or have been a Solider, Seaman, Airmen, or Marine these are your brothers and sisters.

    I salute you my Brother.

    WO3 Chrisman. 101 Airborne 7/17 Cav.

  • Solute those hero's, but don't write a letter, learn to spell first

  • As a private in the Army i cryed at this video. Hoorah for all Soldiers!

  • Rest in peace shipmates...A hearty Semper Fi from a squid.

  • cant wait to lay there with my father, grandfather, great grandfather, great great grandfather. only 4 years until then

  • Freedom isn't Free, just look at the headstones here and thank GOD for those men!!

  • great video

  • SEMPER FI MARINES...

  • This is a very moving video. My husband is a war veteran, and I'm so proud of him and all our men and women who serve in the armed forces to protect our right to voice our opinions and serve the God of our choice and all the other freedoms we enjoy here in America. God Bless America, again!

  • I have family in Arlington & i get to go every year to see their cross! If you ever go to Arlington, family there or not, and you do not cry there is something wrong with you. You are there with all of those dead bodies that died to keep your little American ass free and you can not be thankful enough to shed a tear? How would you feel if it was your family!!I have 4 crosses out there and 1 1day will be me trust me! SO if you have something negative to say say it to me

  • i was there on a school trip and i was the only one there that shed a small tear

i want to be buried there

  • not all people cry, its saddening but not many people cry, especially if you've been through alot.

  • Nice vid

  • we went to arlington as part of our 8th grade trip to washington.our tour guide played this to us on our way there. we saw the wreath ceremony and the changing of the gaurd at the tomb of the unknown soldier. GO AMERICA!!!!

  • All my thanks to all this young men and women who gave their lives for saving my country during WWII. We will always honor you and your sacrifice will NEVER be forgotten.

    Daniel from Luxembourg.

  • I am very tired of people in the US. I keep getting comments by people of other-than-european roots that live in the US and have Americans.

    Note to them:

GO HOME. We are sorry we saved you from opression - we didn't mean to do it. We thought keeping you alive had a value at the time. We were wrong.

Pack your bags. We will not miss your tax dollars, you don't work any way.

We are sorry we saved your mothers and sisters from rape. Bad call on our part, we were not thinking.

    Our bad.

  • dude......idc if they there as long as the american citizens....america is all about freedom to all, even if they dont always give it to us....Everyone has the right to live here as long as they get a citizen ship..

  • if i could give you a thumbs up a would

  • im kinda on both sides of this, i agree with you and ntslayer, if they were not here jobs wouldnt be taken away from the hard working Americans, and they cant lean on us forever. and as much as it pains me to say it, this country is actually starting to lose its freedom because of the war we are fighting for other people.

  • Hey man, why do you still believe DC represents us. This song glorifies getting yourself killed for illusions

  • yes, this song glorifies getting yourself killed for what you believe in.

From United States Armed Forces Code of Conduct:

I am an American fighting man. I serve in the forces which guard my country and our way of life. I am prepared to give my life in their defense.

People like me believe that the Code of Conduct means something and people like me are willing to die to defend your right to say that we are wrong.

  • The Code of Condut also says:

I will never surrender of my own free will.

If I am captured I will continue to resist by all means available.

If I become a prisoner of war, I will keep faith with my fellow prisoners.

    and more

Just so you know, I am American but I live and France.

A North American Union is a good idea. The US would still be the US, just like France is still full of French people; French people are also European, but French first.

  • please do not assume what I am thinking. When you finish high school, travel. I've lived in Japan, Chad & Ireland. I've worked in 75 countries. I've already seen more and done more than you ever will.

FYI, speaking of humanity the UN Human Rights bill comes from Europe.

  • @dtr76 dude, you have no idea what I believe. Just because you want to oppose me does not give you the ability to read my mind.

And I doubt you actually graduated high school, based on how you express yourself. Finished, sure. Graduated? Not an American High School.

  • Comment removed

  • @dtr76 It was not just the one comment that proved you are an idiot.

  • :) Care to explain exactly what in my comments one can associate with "idiocy"?

  • nope, you are a waste of time.

  • @dtr76 Wow, I feel bad. I was just on ebay and realized that you are the one that tried to steal from my 12 year old son. And here I thought you were just being stupid, but you are actually a thief as well.

How is that ebay thing working for you? Selling things to kids and then not shipping them. and refusing all contact

  • wtf? dude, sorry for disagreeing with you here, but this is where the line is drawn. You are accusing me of things I have no idea of. So I deleted my comments, you win gramps.

  • @dtr76 oh, you can disagree with me. I spent 8 years in the Marine Corps willing to die for your right to disagree.

That has nothing to do with the fact that you are the person that tried to steal from my 12 year old son by not sending him the game he bought from you on ebay. Or are you going to say that there is someone using the same name on ebay that you use here? In your comments you said that you don't live in the US, and that was what made the connection for me.

    Thief.

  • Conjecturing cunt, I haven't used ebay since 2005.

  • @dtr76 - why would you delete your comments? Did you say soemthing offensive?

  • @thetexasbrat Because the psycho who posted this video started accusing me of selling some crap to his son on ebay and not sending it, calling me a thief in the process. So, regardless of who is "right" in such a debate, when psychos show their ugly heads on the internet I decide it's not worth the trouble.

  • @thetexasbrat dtr76 was offensive. And he (she?) did take a payment from my son but not send the product so ebay and paypal had to recover it.

Funny that dtr76 now says "regardless of who is "right" in such a debate". My opinion has not changed, but it seems that dtr76 is willing to change their opinion.

  • Listen to the words, "this is what it costs to keep us free."

  • your right mate, this song is just saying: He, if jou die as a soldier, that your a hero and don't worry: you will go to Arlington'

HE, i'm am going to the army XD

  • @ViccardXViccc no. thats not it at all. arlington has some of the greatest men who ever fought in those grounds. its an honor for anyone in the military to be layed to rest there. because they're along side some of the bravest men this world will ever see.

  • i love this video so much, im so thankful that my dad didnt have to go to any war zone, because hes in the military

  • Wonderful - thanks!

  • i too have lived this. i know how hard it is to even think about it well at least for me its hard. im sorry. thats all we can really say.god bless.

  • This is an outstanding video as a Soldier in the United States Army, I have started to make videos like this also. I just started in 2005-2006 when I was deployed to Iraq for my second tour. Great Video. What program do you use? Great job keep up the work.

  • and I hope God blesses and protects you in that land of...

darn, can't think of a word to say something as bad as I want without going in to cussing.

Semper Fi - we will be there to protect you.

  • i just saw this on the patriot guard website. this is an awesome video. Americans need to remember why we have the freedoms we have. All gave some, some gave All. Thank you to all my military and first resonders.

  • Thanks is good, however I think the best thanks is acknowlgeing soldiers. Stand up during the national anthem, take off your hat, and be quiet. If you see a soldier, buy him a drink, shake his hand, and then he will have all the thanks he could appreciate.

  • i am proud to be an american. thanks for all the soldiers that have kept us free. i have a family member there. he was ain the civil war. he led part of the union army to new orleans and won the battle against the confederets. God bless america and the familys who lost family in any war

    RVN, 68, 69, 70

  • oh i live in Arlington virginia

  • I love this song! we had our Vetern's Day program today and theyh played this song! A lot of old Veterns were there and they started crying! it was so sad!

  • Great video. Arlington National Cemetery is the most beautiful, peaceful, and honorable final resting place anyone could be lucky enough to visit. I buried my father there August 2005 with full military honors. He was a Colonel and served in Vietnam. We could only be so lucky to earn a place there.

  • Crazy...your dad is a true hero! I wish I could have thanked him in person for serving this country! Be proud!

  • awsome video dude
