  • This is so creepy but sweet at the same time. This song is close to a poem that I wrote, I must of felt the same way as he did. haha

  • I grew up with him as a young soldier in germany in the early 80/s...man this is a deep song..

  • gary numan wins at life

  • On of the GREATEST tracks (if not the GREATEST) is "Cars"!

  • Listen to torn, then switch over here all quick like. WTF Gary? You worried me.

  • Awesome sound

  • awesome sund

  • Quality upload

  • Alright song!

  • NIN started up because ol'gary inspired them.

    you dick.

  • Actually this is correct. Gary Numan is a major influence to Trent.

...In fact the two are really good friends these days and have Gary's made more than a few live appearances it NIN concerts the past few years.

  • I guess its not really fair to say that this reminds me of NIN, but there you go...

  • Tune!

  • awesome!

  • Delicious. Amazing music. Sends shivers up and down my spine.

  • Dont asked me why but i Think the songs since Pure fit to the new Batman Movies

  • Why?

    Sorry, I just couldn't resist.:)

  • Well Batman lives in a dark and cold world and is full of Near future dystopical Landscapes(Industries, High buildings and more) And the personal feeling of Wayne(Batman)

And well, i feel the songs of GN feel like made for him

  • Makes sense to me.

  • As Bruce Wayne seems to be dead and Dick Grayson is the new Batman i think it would fit much better to Jason Todd who is in my opion the radical and therefor better version of Batman Wayne. But i guess funky Jason is more into pure harsh Industrial. This would at least be a song for him to chill after he has eradicated some gangsters.

  • @Slayedjudas666 I think most of his music does. :D

  • I listen hip hop but this song is AWESOME!!!

  • one of the best from numan...I like the build up to a point where desperation erupts into the scene..

  • The lyrics are not complete. I didn't have much of an idea how to use the software when I did this and I had to omit some characters from a few verses. I chose to omit words which were obvious such as "and" and "I", and the words "back" and "blind" from verse 1, line 1 and verse 1, line 2 respectively.

  • numan gets better and better come on splinter

  • Agreed.....Numan is awesome...and my hero...

  • 5:09 is my favourite part of this song, so beautiful and gets me every time. Yet again, another song that reminds me of you, Graeme and that short romance we had a almost a year ago. If you feel the same way the lyrics say, remember I'm here to open my arms and turn that cold feeling into a loving warm one... because that's what friends are for. :)

  • this guy is beautiful..

thank you for putting this on youtube....

  • One of my fave songs of all time.

  • Blind and Slave are my fabourite tracks from Jagged

If you listen to the lyrics on the Jagged album you will see how they tie in with Pure

Listen to Torn, then listen to Slave

  • I totally noticed that. :O Blind and Dark are my favorite numan songs. :D I have everything since THe Pleasure Principle.

  • Reminds me of being in your car, darling. Love this song, I agree it's one of my fave at least! :)

  • "Fans" of GN, it is time to recognize a dimension of this artist that is not of this world as we prosaically recognize it. Listen carefully to these lyrics, consider the tools Gary found and developed for his music/message. This is a plea for forgiveness from a soul that transcends "humanity". Can you hear this? What is your response. this is beyond music.

  • I love this one since it reminds me of you... most Gary Numan songs do. :) ♥ The movie wolf reminds me of us too. A middle aged man with nothing to live for, his wife cheated on him and so on, he met a beautiful young woman who changed his life for the better. Although he turns into a wolf! I doubt that part is going to happen! ;) Love you! x

  • Still that Numan trademark sound. Great work! Thanks!

  • Definitely, can't wait until I have the album.

  • Just heard this tune by chance the other day on my net radio station. Simply fantastic - Numan is still as good as he ever was.
