You should firstly learn the Major Scales, the Penthatonic (major/minor) so you can easily improvise on the songs, then you should download some tabs of Very difficult songs (i used Far Beyond The Sun - Malmsteen) and learn them at 25% speed with Guitar Pro. Once you know the whole song/ songs by heart, you can practise at 50%, and so on. Good luck :)
