Thank you for clearing this up.  In the U.S., where I live, a House of Sorrow has another meaning. I found it hard that a father would send his daughter to a "house of ill-repute", i.e. a bordello.

I've been listening this song over and over, in the past week. I simply can't get enough of it :).

@arrakis2oo6 I don't know if you are still interested seen as your comment was posted a year ago, but I found out that most of the lyrics of this song are 'nonsense syllables'. For example, the most striking line of the whole piece 'Hi ri huraibhi o ho' sung at the start of the 'chorus'-like section (0:13) is nonsense and just used for rhythmic and melodic effect. Other nonsense lines include 'O hi a bho ro hu o ho'.

@arrakis2oo6 I do know, however, the meaning of the song if you are interested: It is telling the tale of Seathan, the son of the king of Ireland - this is essentially a 'remix' of the old original version, but the original story line was that it is a lament sung by Seathan's wife as she reminds herself of his character, times they has together and his 'deeds'. It is essentially a song of grief and sharing her feelings about him - almost theraputic for her. Hope that helps :)
