@DisneyVillain " Zombie Island " retconned the events of " A Pup Named Scooby Doo " and pretty much the entire " Scrappy Era " , which I think was for the best . So in " Zombie Island " , the gang`s presented as encountering real monsters for the first time ( and for the original gang , they pretty much were ) . While there were real aliens in " Alien Invaders " , the " Alien Invaders " referred to in the title were fake , a scam for golddigging techs .

" Witch`s Ghost " has both a fake ghost and a real one but the main villain is arguably not Sarah but Ben atleast until his power-hungry , revenge-blinded ancestor betrays him . What I don`t get is how Fred and Velma can continue to deny the existence of the supernatural after " Zombie Island " & " Witch`s Ghost " .
