  • hotttt :)

  • yay!! :) oorah! i leave in 3 weeks!

  • your hot :D (:.

  • You are hot! ;)

  • @xlovedollx and single :P

  • I do agree that some of my best and funniest times in the Marines were in boot camp.

  • BTW, Drill Instructs generally care deeply for your future welfare and that of the Corps. That is why they train you so callously. It is not simply about breaking one down. It is about showing them that they can pick themselves up, stand on their own, and be mentally strong enough to be part of a strong team. This cannot be done with codling. Forged in fire or burned up and sent home. The way it should be.

  • How are the bathrooms in bootcamp? Any privacy?

  • okay my recruiter told me that during boot camp you have to climb up and down a 70 foot high stack of logs. is that true?

  • @15amelia94 No. It is a giant ladder made from logs. Watch full metal jacket. Most of the fun equipment is in that movie.

    --SSgt USMC.

  • @raychik40k ok. gracias

  • how bad is the hazeing when you first get to the fleet(as a grunt)

  • @SEALhopefull100 Cant really say. Now adays, hazing is an NJP able offense. But dumbasses still do it. So it depends on your unit. Ill say this 3/7 has njpd multiple people already for hazing, hope you dont go there!

  • i know i have the physical capability to join the marine corps but what i dont have is the toughness

i dont look at death and smile

i dont think i would be joking if i was getting tortured or getting my head cutt off

    and that kind of stuff

  • @RayWilliamJohansen Be a supply man

  • @RayWilliamJohansen Everyone makes it through boot, doesnt matter who you are or your state of condition, youll make it.

  • Hey my name is Anthony and I was wondering if u can tell me more about ur mos 0621 I have the same mos as u and I wanted to know more about it like what do u do and ect... So if u could make a vid. About that or send me a message that would be cool dude thanks I leave June 6 this year so if u can get back to me thanks.

  • @rodriguezTony Being a 0621 sux. I am currently attached to a company of 3/7. I am the Commanding Officer of my company's Radio Operator. Right now basically i follow him around with a radio on my back and he talks on it. I also make sure the rest of the radios in the company are programmed correctly and are working.

FYI.. I would def not be a 0621. Try and change your MOS before you go if you desire, dont listen to what your recruiters say, you can still change it.

  • @dgeigs what sux so much about it?

  • Grr *year lol

  • * Diego;; sorry my iPhone sucks lol

  • If your going then the main thing I could say to help you is be fit, be professional, know your role, and NEVER feel sorry for yourself. It is not glamorous, it is a hard boring shitty life at times but this country needs the job done. Good Luck to all who choose to serve and Semper Fi.

  • how difficult is the bootcamp shooting

  • @marinenick100 easy

  • @marinenick100 what a bout the crucible climbing the 70 foot logs?

  • @15amelia94 what?

  • @marinenick100 okay my recruiter told me that during boot camp you have to climb up and down a 70 foot high stack of logs.

  • @15amelia94 haha dont ask me . im not actually a marine yet . this is my username because im obsessed with the marines.

  • @marinenick100 OHHH.LOLme two kinda

  • I like it how you guys hate on the females.......

  • u are hot. and u look smart for a marine lol

  • @ProAnaStarvingWorks alot of marines are smart

  • Well I am 17 year old female who is enlisting in the Marine Corps and I am so excited to leave this summer 2011!!

I was wondering though I know you're not a female but what are the nagatives. I hear a lot of negatives but then I also hear a lot of postives. I also would like to know what it is really like as a FEMALE Marine. I also hear that female Marines aren't looked as respected. I am joining the Marine Corps for the extreme challenge and the honor and repsect that you get.

  • @XxUSMCKrIStInA93xX Hey, congrats! (: I'm a female poolee leaving soon, too. It was supposed to be May 16, but they scooted it back to April 11 instead. D: And I just got DEP'd in last week, so that doesn't give me a whole lot of time to get in shape. I'm really nervous. But, anyway, yeah! When are you shipping out?

  • @XxUSMCKrIStInA93xX Well the sad truth is most marines do not respect female marines. Most of the time your job consists of sitting in front of a computer, being a cook or some other super pog job. There is the opportunity to be a 0621, but thats my MOS and i HATE MY LIFE!

Oh btw... ths "honor and repect" Youll find out about after a year in, youll hate the marine coprs and regret joining, i guarentee it.

  • @dgeigs did you pick that mos on your wishlist thing.....would you have preferred the army?

  • @jobless4life there is no real wish list, and i would rather be marine then army

  • just curious man why you hating your job? I leave the 14th but for a complete different MOS.

  • Ok well you still didn't answer me i asked what is the heaviest you could be. And I'm 5"9

  • @nanosweets idk bout marines but i know someone that was 250-260 an joined the army so

  • @nanosweets Depends on if the wait is fat or muscle. I'm 6 foot and couldn't weigh more than 200.

  • what is the heaviest someone can be to join? cause i am 237 pounds. just let me know thanks

  • @nanosweets It also depends how tall you are. If you are over by about 10 -15 lbs, they can get you a waiver, and trust me, youll make the weight standards after boot camp.

  • is the USMC the best? its a opinion.

    common sense

  • Is it true marines is best of all out of all military branch Because I can't decide which branch to go in too it's a lot of thinking hope you can help me with question sorry about there the other comment I buy accident press. Send but I wrote over for you sorry about that

  • @ASHILEY15 No problem. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. But in reality i really do believe the Marine Corps is the best. It really gets you prepared physically and mentally. Army just holds positions that we take. Marines, first in last out. Navy... well they shoot stuff from a ship and imagine being on a ship for a long time.... not for me. Airforce. Probably we need them , but in reality we only show respect to pilots.

  • @dgeigs Your dumb, "in reality we only show respect to pilots"...Really? They can't fly the plane if it couldn't get off the ground dumbass..

  • @dgeigs spoken like a true Ignorant Marine

  • Is it true the marine core is best military br

  • nice selection of the date to make this video

  • How and why did you get stuck in a shitty MOS? Im negotiating my options today with my recruiter. I enlisted at Ft. Meade wednesday, I know that if there is nothing there that I want to do then it defeats the purpose of me joining. Did they screw you over of something?

  • You have the exact MOS that i want to go in as so I was wondering if you could give me a little more insite on what your deployment life was like and things of that nature. Thanks and God bless

  • hey im just wonderin do u guys wake up and run 3 miles or what. and is training as hard has people say

  • @9595Cummins Running 3 miles isint that dificult. Im in the DEP and he told me get to running the 1.5mi in 12.30. That is for the initial strength test at boot. A decient 3 mi time is like 21 mins. I havent been yet but there the Marines .... its definantly hard. I mean .... were not talking Army here.

  • DRILL INSTRUCTORS FUCK YOU UP :D IM NOW ENLISTING NEXT WEEK YAAAA CANT FUCKIN WAITT BROTHAAA

  • lmao @ no 'homo"

  • if anyone wanna join the marines as infantry tlk to me first...i got out a yr ago and ill tell u the truth about it, not recruiter garbage.

  • @TheFortyG Yea man definantly let me know . Im locking in my contract today after my DEP session. Wassup with it,, it sucks ass dosent it?

  • Thank you so much for this video and taking your time to answer questions. I have a few questions to ask you as well.

    1. What positive/negative characteristics have you acquired?

    2. What do you wish people could understand better about the Marines?

    3. What little things did you take for granted before but are now thankful for?

    Thanks so much!

  • @k4tlv NO problem

    1. Positive: Much more intelligent and more physically and mentally stable/fit.

    2. That Marines arent dumb, and just do stupid shit, thats just what you see from a few individuals. And, to give the Marines the credit they deserve and stop having the civilians have the "army" mindset, where the army does everything. In reality, Marines are first to go and last to come back. Army just holds the ground we aquired.

    3. Home cooked food. And time off. Dont get much of that.

  • I totally agree with what you said about the Army. It's the lack of knowledge Americans (sadly) have about the U.S Military.

And also, a few more questions if you don't mind..

    1. Do you think president Obama's plan for increasing troops in Afghanistan is in the U.S's best interest? How would you feel if you had to be one of the 30,000 troops deployed?

    2. Do all Marines have a mandatory 2 week leave during the summer?

Sorry for the questions, I'm a debater and I recently had Q1 as a topic, haha.

  • @k4tlv

    1. I am one of those 30000 troops getting deployed, I cant give an exact day, but I leave very soon, And I am looking forward to the experiences and the greater knowledge i will be recieving and some of the afghani culture. Although heading to one of the most heavy terrorist activity.

    2. Mandatory leave, ha your kidding. Only get leave for emergency leave or holiday leave. You aquire 2.5 days of leave per month. Use when youb want save them or what do what you will with them.

  • I worded that incorrectly, I apologize. What I meant to have asked was a 2 week mandatory deployment.

And you're one of the 30,000? I wish you the best, just don't do anything stupid and come home safe, haha.

  • @k4tlv

Ha, thanks for the good luck wishes.

And mandatory deployments, 7 month minimum, usually, you get some leave before you deploy. I got a week.

    Hope that answers your question.

  • @dgeigs I'm not trying to start a debate but what you said to k4tlv isn't entirely true. All the video game fanboys all just go crazy over the marines and talk crap about the army. Then the army also has rangers that dont just hold the ground and again not trying to sound disrespectful but you saying the marines do all the hard and dangerous stuff while the army just gets there is highly disrespectful and i'd like you to say that to the mothers of army soldiers that have died there recently.

  • come on man plz just tell me

  • please respwan! if you could take it all back ad never join the USMC would you

  • @jagman4040

Check your grammar kid, then maybe ill think about answering :P

  • will I have time to take any college courses while in the Marine Corps? I want to be a 0311 marine

  • Absolutely, You will get time later down the road, after your first year in. They will always give you the opportunites to do online classes or night classes. And being a grunt means if you are not it the field training, your usually sleeping in your room. You will have plenty of time.

  • were you in the infantry?

  • Yes and no at the same time. I am a Radio operator, basically wherever the grunts go I go. Im basically a grunt with a radio.

  • You say you hate your job! Do you hate being a Marine? Or you just want to change your function? And if what function would you do? I'm gonna start Dutch army in December!
