  • Essequibo belongs to Venezuela!

  • are the road brothels near the mining towns worth the try, i am an international punter na mean?, and i've heard these area is pretty run down hmmm yummy, my kind of thing

  • Stop to regret each other, brazilians and guyanese people! I am brazilian and I love Guyana! Mutual cooperation is increasing between our countries. Brazil is helping guyana to develop itself, and Guyana is helping Brazil to develop too! There are new bridges, roads and a hydropower plant of 800 MW being built under bilateral cooperation! People so connected cannot regret each other. God bless our countries forever!

  • I would like going to guyana for learning english

  • I'm happy with our government's efforts to foster ties with our giant neighbour Brazil. We need the Brazilians more than the other way around. As a result, Guyanese schools should provide Portugese lessons for students. Though I'm not so happy about the illegal miners, but, by the same token, Barbados and other islands are fed up with illegal Guyanese.

  • the river you have named the essequibo, is actually the kurupukari.

  • kurupukari crossing is in the Essequibo river my friend.

  • I think its fair for brazilians to live and stay in guyana and mines its gold and help develope guyana. Just a few years ago guyana had a population crisis were much of its population had left its country, Populattion was about 600,000 then. Guyana had a negative birthrate according to the UN. Guyanese love to go to USA, canada, cuba, barbados, UK, trinidad and never comeback. Hopefully more brazilians will come and help build and develop guyana quicker then those yardies in georgetown.

  • WOW, WHY DO WE HAVE TO TALK ABOUT RACISM. I AM GUYANESE I THOUGHT THE VIDEO WAS nice. but we don't have to act racist towards each other come on now. don't be like that.

  • People who never experience racism will never understand. especially in guyana and if you're coolie.

  • Oh wow, thanks for this. I always wanted to know what the rest of Guyana was like.

  • after thi i can have a good death....with a guyanese!!

  • Great. I arrive to Lethem from Boa Vista, Brazil, on January 1989. At time there was no road connecting to Georgetown so taking a flight was the only posibility. After waiting for three days in Lethem, I got my ticket and flew to the guyanese capital.

  • Is good to see a little from this unknown region. I live in the southeast of Brazil and wish one day I can hear the accent of the english spoken in Guyana.

  • coem to the country but dont stay we dont want you brazilians to live in our country yours is big enough.

  • Neither do we want you guyanese living in our country!! By the way, do you realy think I have any thing to do in your country?? My country has many oportunities for us, brazilian natives and we also don´t want guyanese people here!

  • Im glad you feel the same I dont want you in my country and you dont want me also we both dont want to live in each others country. Im gald a brazilian has this point of view it puts me at ease. Let us live in our own countries.

  • I do realy regret if you are glad for me. I'm not glad to know that many foreign people is so close to me/us brazilians natives. I don't want more coloured like you living here in my country. We already have too many!! I would NEVER live in your country because I have my own homeland to live in and our economy is one the biggest in the whole world. Don't write foolish things and go on living easely (?) as a foreign in the States.

  • So why dont you go out and tell the 10 000 miners who are illegal in our country to get out and go home. Its your people in the north west who cross the borders. All we go to your country for is guns we dont talk spanish so why would we live there its not like we taking jobs away like some brazilians do guyana. And who said im in the states Youtube is worldwide yuh kno

  • I´m sorry. I cannot help you Mr. Joka. Why don´t you ask your government to help you? I think they certainly will help you in this matter. Well, I also think you should learn more english because you don´t write english so good Mr. Joka.

  • Good Afternoon: I live in Caracas and would like to visit Georgetown, Is the road in good condition? and security? Is it dangerous?

    Thank you

  • u are from venezuela, arent you?

this should not be a concern of urs.

    regards

  • How much for the bustrip?

  • the bus trip is about us$60.

  • 1 People 1 Nation 1 Destiny!

  • I love Guyana

  • We were taught that it was the Caribs (rebel Amerindian tribes) were the ones that were cannibals and they ate out all the Arawaks (friendly Amerindians) - What a wicked thing! It was Columbus and the Spaniards who slaughtered them for their "primitive" kindness and sophistication.

  • wow ,i want to live there .! how is the weather?is it cold? and is lifestyle easy?

  • nawh its a caribbean place lifestyle isnt all that easy tho workwise.

  • OMG I made that exact journey but with a small plain when I was about 17. Stayed at an Inn owned my Ms.Matthews in Lethem and crossed over to Manaus with a canoe. When i got back to Guyana two weeks after, i was fired from my job at Telecoms. hahaha..

  • Whew.. Brazil was fun though.

  • Brilliance!!

  • Oh damn!! You crossed the Essequibo..by BUS??! I definitely have to try that some day lol.
