I bought my cats one of the continuous flow kitty water fountain things and they stopped turning my tap on. lol. Wouldn't have been a problem if they learned to turn it off after they were done.

I've had 2 Maine Coons and they've both like playing with water. One would turn over his water bowl just to see it splash across the floor. He's not stupid just likes running water. Should look into getting a Drinkwell pet fountain. Mine prefer the Platinum model. It'll save on the water bill.

@cts3 Norwegians and Maine Coons are very similar in fur, build, behavior etc. So it's difficult to tell. Anyway, Norwegians where just normal cats, until the cat fancy got a hold of them and made them have to have a certain color, build, etc. Your's is a beautiful funny cat no matter if he's from Norway or Maine. lol

sorry to crash the party- my overweight cat started to drink from the shower (and hang around drains) It was a sign she had diabetes (increased thirst) just to be aware, especially if he loses weight unexpectedly. She hated water though, so don't worry if this is normal behaviour for him. cute :)
