  • i tried doing this with paracord and it didnt look as nice ... reason ????

  • So using 550 paracord and THREE pieces rather than two, to make a 36 inch band I would need the long one to be around fifty-four feet right?

  • You are a master at your craft and an amazing teacher. Keep up the fantastic work :) (y)

  • So basically ur just doing forward knots flipping it over then more forward knots cool seems simple enough

  • What type of material is he using? That's definitely not 550 cord. Thanks.

  • @1937Me1 - It's 1/4 inch solid braid nylon

  • My daughter and I are so adicted to this stuff. I purchased a bunch of 550 cord from the military surplus store last weekend and I have made 7 bracelets thus far. This is the last thing that I do before going to bed. I love it!

  • I want to try this with leather lace and 3 strips of rope instead of 2 and hopefully be able to make it into a bracelet. Thanks for your great video JD, you inspired me to start trying some of these knots on y own.

  • I think I'll be making a new belt very soon...

  • Wow...that last knot was beautiful. It's not often I say that about knots LOL

  • looks like a huge friendship bracelet :)

  • what length of braided nylon would you suggest for this knot?

  • @cryoshell666 - depends on how long you want your strap to be. Follow this general rule... See 0:44

  • i made mine into a bracelet 10inch pluse 1 1/2 s beinner try it

  • how many rings do u have and where so you get them?

  • thanks to teach me how to tie, gracias por enseñarme.

from Reforma Chiapas, Mexico, close to Villahermosa Tabasco Mexico.

  • nice knot ,

is there any wayy of doing it with 2 strings so u end up with 2 colours if so can u post instructions :)

  • que bonito "!!

  • thanks you so much for all your vidoes, this one was so cool. :)

  • you could start it on a nice piece of leather rather than line perhaps finish it on leather i will try it in the future and see how its goes

  • That's a good idea too.

  • Absolutely... (smile)

If you start with a thin line, instead of a ring, you can use it to connect the top of the strap to the top of your guitar neck. Use two of the lines on the bottom (snip off the others) to connect your strap to the bottom of your guitar.

  • very cool can do it with 6 strings and make a guitar starp

  • Just remember if you use 6 lines instead of 4 you will need more leed say about 1.5' per inch
