At this part in the game you can do it with any weapon it all depends on what weapon you like to be honest.
My health is low simply becuase i never needed to use health of a thousand gods. Yes this part of the game is on chapter 6 right after the bone boss. This is the best place because there is nothing ahead also there is a safe point ahead.
why is ur health bar so small? didnt u get any lives of the thousand gods? this is chapter 6! but i got that achievment while throwing shurikens at ninjas in chapter one (55 shurikens to kill one ninja). and the best way to get money is from the abundant green bugs in the green tunnels i got 50k in like 5 minutes!

your not getting bone scorpions? That probably means your playing Mentor or Master Ninja mode then.

ALSO my health bar is small because i dont need it any bigger and using life of a thousand gods will be a waste ^_^

what??? you use life of a thousand gods in a boss battle when you run low on health then use it because it restores more than full health

it might be slightly better to use the Kasuri-gama (the little scythe/club thingy)... not 100% sure though
