my kds wasnt properly setup straight out of the box either. took some getting to know the stock transmitter before it was all working like it should. do all servos (tail!) still respond to your input ok? maybe check your gyro setting, put it in reverse? best to see if you can find an experienced heli flyer to help you with it indeed. let us know when it is fixed and what the problem was. good luck!
It;s hard to so what caused that problem it could be a lot of things. I suggest you found a heli flyer thats near you and ask him to help you setup and finding out what the problem is or if possible go back to your LHS. Good luck anyway.

I opened up the box and charged the battery to test the servos/etc. and I found that the tail response time was EXTREMELY slow. Then, when I went outside (no wind) to fly it, took off gradually and it spun left, then right, then kept spinning. My only option was to try and set it down as gently as possible (crash).Help?

It's strong like avery 450 heli is. I think 200 grs. Is a bid to much for this size.

Was megahot that day. Temperature and the fact that these were my first few circuits/piros made me sweat quite a bit :P
Had to put it down @0:53 for a little fix in tracking.
Almost lost it at @5:19 :s
Anyway, i'm still improving. Piros are now without the little dips and nose-in is coming along nicely.
