  • My biggest problem is standing leaning on one hip slouching...how do I avoid this?

  • @methatgirl1234 Hey there! The way to avoid this is to strengthen those lower abs. Leveling your pelvis helps to strengthen those muscles , and any ab workouts. You should feel as though you're putting on a tight pair of jeans, those are the muscles that you want engaged. Check out the book for more information on leveling your pelvis -- this will be your answer as far as slouching on one hip. Good luck!

  • @methatgirl1234 Hey there- sorry we somehow missed your message! Honestly, this just takes time and practice. You need to be conscious of when you're slouching and leaning on one hip and then fix it and even out the pressure on both feet and level your pelvis. Leaning on one hip will eventually cause you to have hip pain as you age. Definitely something you want to stop doing soon! Hope this helps!

  • Thanks Mr. Dreyer. Although it was mentally and physically very difficult to concentrate on your posture techniques after years of slouching, I concentrated on it for most of a long 22 mile run. The result was the fastest time in a year. I highly recommend runners to try this, especially those over 40.

  • genius!

  • Very very interesting for everyone!

  • Thankss And Im Just Wondering Did I Run Into You By The Tramore GolfCourse Today?:)

  • This is good practice while standing in the subway. Everyone seems to crouch in defensive mode - I visualize that I am a space alien and my neck is stretching up by inches above everyone - when the neck goes up the shoulders go down.

While walking in the streets I visualize a string pulling me by the solar plexus so I don't lead with my nose.

  • @plekka Oooh, that's a GREAT observation. Nice, Plekka. Thanks!

  • thanks, i really learn a lot from this!

  • Hi #UN#, big fan of your vids here :)

  • It was so interesting to think about the lung capacity that is lost because of bad posture.
