King of Fighters '99 Intro

Of the worst KOFs in the entire series...

Just a few characters, lame bosses, too dark, odd play system that got much better in KOF '00, useless strikers, no rolling forward just a weird bounce back and forward, fool story (Kyo and his maximum clonage), several characters got new silly moves and got useless (like Ryo, Iory and Takuma), even the backgrounds are bad... The only good thing in this KOF is K' presentation...

KOF '00 is superior by far...

One of my favorite KOF games. Many little things about this one made me like it alot; The player select layout, the portrait art, stages, music, the newcomers, even the whole plot (an army of Kyo clones, now that's a twist.) K' was an awesome new hero in 99, and his clone Krizalid is my favorite KOF boss. I never truly liked the KOF after 99, nor did I like the new character additions, but since KOF99 was so good, they updated the game and now I plan to buy KOF99 Evolution for my PC.

don't forget the awesome graphics. unlike the other ones in the series. I think this KOF is the best in the series. and I still got it for PS1. brings back memories. I wouldn't trade it for anything.

i wouldn't be surprised if the final boss was to blame (after all, KOF is one of the many fighters which are afflicted with SNK Boss Syndrome which makes final bosses very ultra cheap)
