Hi, i have asus x77jq laptop with Icore7-720QM, mobility radeon hd 5730, 4gb of ram at 1333mhz and 500gb hard disk but i cant play the game... when i log on battlelog and try to connect to the server the game manager window closes when i try to connect to the server. Any solutions?
@nxnos i'm pretty sure that it's some kind of graphics driver problem, but updating didn't helped me, so maybe im doing something wrong, I had a lot of problems with updating.
I used to have overheating issues that lead to immediate shutdowns but I fixed it with the following actions:
1) Unscrewed the bottom off laptop, cleaned the fan and heat vent. You'd be surprised by how much dust accumulates to block the vent.
2) Like someone mentioned, download Driver Sweeper. Before updating ATI software you uninstall the previous version. Then, in safe mode, you use Driver Sweeper to delete ATI files that were not uninstalled. Now, restart windows and install new ATI software
i3 is just had 2 cores? if im right now games need 4 cores to run smooth stableilty with alot explodes in he screen/big maps/load 64 players solders skin/etc..
I have the same lappy apart from 500GB 7200rpm. Mine overheats from older games too that dont require as much CPU power, so to resolve this you goto energy management and set the max cpu speed to low. Another way to prevent the overheat in less demanding games is to only use 2 physical cores (msconfig->boot->advanced options->number of processors->4). default uses 8 threads from 4 cores. I played Medal of Honor on 2 cores and it was alright.
first download DriverSweeper (google search), and lastest display driver from ATI website
then uninstall ATI catalyst install manager, tick all option to full uninstall everything, after this restart the laptop and press F8 to choose windows safe mode
in safe mode launch DriverSweeper and tick ATI display driver to clean all the screw you up files
restart again now in normal mode, install the lastest display driver
yea i have the exact same laptop but mine is like 20 fps on lowest. there is some colour issue that makes grass black on caspian border... doyou have any suggestions?
@nahcnavi1234 this laptop is an interesting mix of great and terrible the prcessor and graphics card and sound system are pretty great for the price, but the display has craapy resolution and the batterylife blows, it gets terrible reveiws because lenovo has seriously screwed up the drivers on everything you have to get your drivers from their sight and their always months behind, im getting the same black terrain, cause 8.6 is the latest lenovo has released meanwhile AMD is on 11.8
