Wow, great playing is great playing, backing tracks or not. Since it was a clinic, they were likely showing how Heritage guitars can sound in a band situation.
I wonder if Bob ever checks this video out. I never new him to be a computer enthusiast. A awsome guitar player though. He was my mentor for a while and will always be an idol insperation. Bob you ROCK. Vince is no slouch either! Sounds great guys! I miss hearing you play live Bob. Thanks for what you did for my guitar playing. I wish I met you 40 years ago.
I was at this event--a clinic for Heritage Guitars, put on by S. Florida Heritage dealer Jay Wolfe. The event was held in Boynton Beach, Florida (not West Virginia). The raspy voice at the very beginning of this video is my uncle, the late Andy Nelson, former clinician for Gibson and Epiphone. Bob Whitlock acknowledged Andy's influence in his playing during this show, which took place somewhere around 1993, as Andy died a year later. Vince and Bob tore the place up. Great show!

Bob Whitelock is one of the greatest American guitarists ever that few people know. He's been performing at a world class level since he was a child.

Is this a Heritage clinic? I just picked up an Eagle Classic and am trying to learn how to use it!
I really appreciate the fact that I can get on Youtube and get musical inspiration from videos like this. Thanks for posting this great playing.

Sure is. Vince is playing his sigger, his teacher is playing a Golden Eagle, I think.
