There was recently a TV programme showing the scottish boys in Afghanistan. The son of a dear friend was being carried on a stretcher and being interviewed at the same time. This boy was also on the phone to his mother and she asked if he was "OK". Her son told her it was "nothing, he just had really bad toothache". The truth, he'd stepped on a mine and had major injuries to his lower torso. This was a boy I had watched grow since birth. So even in dire times our soldiers 'soldier on' God Bless.

what i dont understand, alot of people think that the british army out in afgan and iraq over the last 10 years has been a waste of time, if you ask every single soldier if they think its been a waste of time you'll get NO as an answer. What alot of people done realise is that they are fighting for our freedom... they dont see that the people who they are fighting is people who want to kill other races and also innocent people. Yes innocent people died, but thats life, look at the bigger picture
