Mo'NIque was more than perfect in this role. I love her as an actress/comedianne, but I HATED her in this role. Ill be applauding the loudest when she wins her Academy award come next month.

I thank God for a "monique" in our life time. Who else could have played this role with the level of authenticity that she brings? Hallie Barry? No. She was the right person for this role. Dare I say the only person who could have brought this character to life.
