@guidoman Why would you notice dat????? I think you may be right but I assure you it ain't me. Never noticed before but now I truly think it's dubbed in. Good ear!
@guidoman I just played an old 45 with this song on it. The guitar is there but blends in perfectly. I am running across so many old tunes that have been remastered and they can be just awful. Some of the more recent (70s) Champion Jack Dupree stuff would sound so much better in mono. I have the software that can change it but no "time" to do it.
I do but for some reason I only have it on vinyl. This should have been recorded to my computer but I must have missed it so I'll have to record it to my hard drive and then convert it to an mp3. Look for it this afternoon.
Yup. Electric. That's amazing for bein' in da nint' wawd. So was that a special lane for those buses and autos went in the inside lanes? That was back when all that area was clean, looks like the 40s or 50s.
No special lane. The buses always stayed in the right lane. If someone double parked (dat never happens because we great drivers down here) the bus would either have to wait or sometimes they would try to pass. Every now and then, one of the trolley things would come off it's trolley line. Also, at night they would send off "sparks" sometime.
Most of the public transportation in Vancouver, Canada uses modern buses that really are a throwback to those that were used in the 50s in N.O.
I ended up in the dog house when I got caught in the cat house. (Hey, dat sounds like dat could be a title for a great country song; if only I could rhyme.)
This was composed by the great Bobby Charles (as Robert Guidry) and Dave Bartholomew

Do you have "I Can't Face Tomorrow" by Frankie Ford on Doubloon Records? I used to have it on 45 until Katrina took it away.

That could easily be an old New Orleans song or a country tune.
