Since this was a B side, Grizzly Bear obviously has an appreciation for M. McD's voice and the alternate interpretation of their song. What's great about real artists is that they feel free to work with anyone they want to rather than letting someone else determine who or what is indie cool on any given day.

Think about how Quentin Tarentino singlehandedly made John Travolta cool all over again back in the day...there's talent there regardless of what any of us think of the taste level.

My FAVORITE comments are from the people who think that somehow this song is blasphemous, implying that they have tapped into some plateau of musical wisdom that proves this version inferior (even though the fact that it is sung by a '70's geek' is pretty much their only argument).
