LOL. Yeah it was kinda loud there. I was just letting people know that if they like Heritage firearms to check out gunslingerforums. It's a fan based website for Heritage revolvers.
Question? does your gun have a little play on the cilinder when cocked? and is that ok? Waiting for mine to clear with the background check so i could pick it up but did notice a wee bit of play.
It's always a question of how much play. There should be very little play in the cylinder when locked (cocked). If there is too much wiggle, you run the risk of the projectile entering the forcing cone too off-centered which can cause damage to the gun (and injury to the shooter). I'd ask the shop to let you examine it side by side with a new S&W, Ruger, etc. to see how much play it has in comparison. If it has more than the others, you may want to steer clear.
Yes there is a tiny bit of "wiggle room" once the hammer is cocked. Like James the scot said, a little is ok; being able to turn it a lot is bad (under full hammer cock).
If you'd like to meet more Heritage owners, check out Gunslingerforums There are some good people there.
Based on your review, I bought 2 of these revolvers. I just received the first one after the 10 day waiting period and plan on going to the range with my 2 nephews when I receive the second one. Thanks for the review!
I have one with a 6 inch barrell and love it! The other day I was shooting at a circular saw blade 125 yards out and all 6 shots hit and penetrated the blade, with Winchester Hollow point mags. I could not say enough nice thigs about this weapon.
if you want to shoot that gun fast use the thumb of the hand that is not gripping the gun

Were you shooting LR or MAG's?

LRs (Remington Golden Bullets if I remember correctly.)
Magnum rounds have a nice, mean bark from this gun. (You gotta try it for yourself.)
