    cheers! E

  • This is seriously amazing!

  • This is amazing. What tuning is this in?

  • @Queschonmark BEADGCF

  • u are hands down the best amateur bass player Ive seen on youtube!

  • @Sabiano Amateur?! He's a pro bass player!

  • @AttitudeCastle how do u know he makes a living playing bass?

  • @Sabiano That's because he's not an amateur! wow lol

  • @BassWhiz92 and how do u know he makes a living playing bass?

  • @Sabiano He plays for Bonamassa. A professional band.

  • @Sabiano Are you saying he sucks? Anyway, the fact he has his own website and signature bass are pretty big clues! He played bass for Joe Bonamassa, a pretty well known guy if you don't know who he is look him up. Also i know the name Eric Czar, i know him for his bass playing and i've bought his music. I've seen him play live and his solo stuff. To properly know he made a living playing bass i couldn't know but it had all the signs!

  • @BassWhiz92 Meg White is a pro drummer, but she sucks at playing drums. What's your point?!

  • @Sabiano huh?

  • sweet jam man c: i play a 6 string fretless now and i got a 4 and 5 string fretted bass two. But ive been looking at going more erb. But the thing is idk if i would want to get a 7 string and tune it F# to c or B to f. Or if i should get a galveston 8 string and tune it to F# to f. Does anyone have any suggestions?

  • @bassist1209 Well do you really need the range? What would be your reasoning? Just being curious or wanting it doesn't cut it. As if for example you want to tap loads but your tapping isn't up to scratch then it's kind of pointless. I'm an ERB player and thought long and hard about all this as you need to or you'll end up wasting money! Also the Galveston 8 strings are hard to get these days

  • Any advice for developing two-handed tapping?

  • AWESOME

  • I want this to be the last thing I hear before I die.

  • this one dislike must be a guitar player or a drummer ;)

  • Conklin theme infonrt of my eyes? My dream has been fulfilled

  • Sick how did you record this dude?

  • awesome...0 dislikes! ;)

  • I like the bass sound, its so smooth and not sharp and high pinched like the guitar. Don't get me wrong I love the guitar sound too but this is just awesome!

  • this is one of the only recent music experiences that truly blew me away, your playing is stunning and it's very inspirational, you've set a high bar for most musicians to aspire...beautiful...music sweet music... .

  • I wanna be that good :(

  • Eric Czar and Erik Mongrain (airtap) should TOTALLY play together. thumbs up if you agree.

  • this is the only extended range bass song i i have found so far that i will ever say i like!!! i am a fan of animals as leaders, and this is sorta similar to a few of his riffs, same idea like. well anyways yeah most of the time people merely use this instruments to prove they have practiced tapping riffs for a few years as opposed to actually make music with them. well done dude kudos :D

  • The Greeks would be proud

  • Dang a little modern Spanish guitar sound, very very good.

  • yeah..bass is a guitar...

  • some parts sounds like a sitar

  • do you use piccolo strings?

  • my god O.O this vid makes me want a 7 tsring bass even more

  • LUVV YA!

  • Where can we hear the whole song?

  • I JUST HAD AN EARGASM!!

  • nonetheless, this guy is amazing :D

  • Wow you're so awesome.

I've been visiting the Conklin custom page all time just to hear this song.

  • incredible!

  • It's amazing what you get when you mix a skilled bassist, great bass, and some reverb. Great job!

  • ive heard this on the conklin site before! i didnt know you made it

  • reading all of these comments makes me think you all don't have brains

  • Conklin Theme song!

  • That doesn't sound anything like a bass guitar :O

That sounds like a regular guitar..

  • Regular guitar can't sound this good. This is the power of BASS

  • I saw he wrote "no midi pick-ups" maybe that's what playing with the sound

  • @TheSmooshster John Pettrucci. That is all I have to say. John Pettrucci. :)

This is some killer ass bass playing though, amazing.

  • @jeeshwa123

    Who's John Pettucci?

  • @TheSmooshster Or else tosin abasi or Buckethead...

Petrucci is the guitar player for Dream Theater, Tosin Abasi for Animals as Leaders :D (search for on impulse) and buckethead wel... he's just buckethead, xD

  • @TheSmooshster John Petrucci is a virtuoso guitar player also in a famous prog-metal band called Dream Theatre.

  • @TheSmooshster as a guitarist I agree that no regular guitar by any means could sound this good. Conklin is beyond superb.

  • @TheSmooshster I don't think its the bass that sounds that awesome. It are his fingers...

  • BreathtakingAwesome Eric.

  • i want tabs!

  • it says it's the 3rd video so wheres the 2 other?

  • Uncanny!!!

  • Hittin no doubt!!

  • JESUS CHRIST WHERE THE HELL DID YOU COME FROM?

  • i seriously go to the conklin site at least 1x per day just to hear this song XD

thanks for posting this on youtube :)

  • I totally agree. This is the thing that makes me want a 7 string groove tools!

  • @geganobo I just went to the site today by chance and I heard this, and I recognized it instantly. Love it!

  • Beautiful, really good to meet a bassist who plays in the style that I am attempting.

Solo bass will rule the world!!

  • Hey Eric I heard this song on the conklin website and I thought it was intense. Wicked I found out it was you, is that the regular groove tools seven string that your using or a custom? I'm thinking about getting the groove tools one and you made it sound amazing.

  • you put the bass in badass. this is my favorite bass video,

  • Wow...I am ashamed of myself. I hate it so much when people say that a 6/7 string bass is pretty much a guitar...But some parts of this really sound like a guitar just because it goes so far into the treble.

  • HOLY SHIT! That was sweet man....

  • those pickups are sensitive as fuck huh?

  • nice song !!

do you have a piezo on your bass?

  • Beautiful.

  • your the best in the world

  • bravo!!!!

  • I am not a big bass fan but eric czar kills it. Wish he & Joe still played together.

  • awessssssssssoooooommmmmeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • woah! what kind of arpeggios are those?

  • awesome

  • woow... really nice !!

  • I love this guy!!! He is fucking awesome!!

  • holy crap!!! i was wondering where i had heard this before and it is the song that they use on conklinguitars com under instruments! and the crazy seven string fretless one is on their main page!

  • beautiful:) whats that song called xx

  • hi dude...very good sound...it is midi right?

i want to get a conklin 7 or 9 string...can you describe me tha feeling the advantages (or the disadvantages) of owning a bass like this? i would be greatful... will i face any difficulties jumping from a 5-string to a 7-string or 9-string????

  • Midi usually don't sound like this. Midi on bass stuff is usually used for triggering stuff. This sound like a bass under an echo effect. As for your question it's just a matter of how you approach it. The main obstacles are usually muting the unused strings, learning how to play the extra amount of fretboard and what to do you can do with it.

  • I could help, as far as a seven you would have to get use to a wider neck, you may or may not have any problems but it depends on what company you are going to buy the bass from, I would go and just try stuff at a music store or try a six string bass and work up, just a thought, hope it helps.

  • suuuuuuuuch cleaan playing and awesome song writing

  • Wow. Amazing bass player!!!

  • Damn!!!! You are an amazing musican, Eric. Brilliant.

  • Holy shit ust begin leanring to play that :P

  • holy crap!!! that was good

  • is there going to eventually be an album with this stuff on it? i would gladly pay...

  • I think otmny said it best..."Inspired and Inspiring." I watch Eric play and just shake my head...

  • Reminiscent of early Stanley Clarke

  • lol, i don't even understand how he makes it make that sound...

  • It's because he's a master. 'nuff said.

  • Awesome stuff Eric!

  • Phenomenal.

Eric Czar is inspired & inspiring.

    Go Eric!
