That start hardly means anything. In the middle of a grab, that won't even mess up DI. It didn't mess anyone's flow up. Captain falcon is a character that is very based on confidence and flowing together, and good consecutive reads... but he gets combo'd and suffocated if the other player can manage to ruin it. That's what happened to Isai. C. Falcon does stuff like this all the time. He is inconsistent. Either way he is doing it looking badass.

it's just you. sveet plays on the professional level. he knows what he's talking about. pausing can affect the game, but in this particular instance, it probably did nothing. m2k paused while in the middle of a grab. it wasnt like isai was midair trying to recover, or going for a combo. m2k probably just slipped while mashing the control stick to get out of the grab. its not like he had enough time to rest his fingers, or wipe his hands if they were sweaty.

many tournies have the rule that if you pause in the middle of a match (w/o good reason) the person who didnt pause can take the match if they want to

you people must realize that you cant just go around randomly pausing to disrupt the flow in a tourny. especially not one that's as serious as MLG is

It can change the game around, the grab could have lead to a death combo or a tech chase or something. But when he paused it could have easily messed anything isai had planned up. Though M2K probably didn't mean to pause, he probably was just trying to button mash to escape the grab and his the start button on accident.

LiaK something like that can change a game, why do you think they call timeouts in basketball when the other team is scoring? to slow the momentum down of the other team. exactly what happened here. Mew2king called a "timeout" and look isai's momentum got jackd up... this is very common in a lot of professional sports

lol no it didnt effect the match at all. it MIGHT have messed up isai for less than a second breaking that one combo, but i can guarantee it was out of isai's mind immediately. it didn't effect the match like you are trying to say it did.
