  • Fabulous job chaps. Top draw stuff.

  • Nice work, shows respect to the original.

  • Fantastic. The refitted Enterprise is my favorite. Very nicely done.

  • Another very impressive video all around, between the graphics, the score, and the sound effects! Kudos, my friend!

  • Nice video how did you obtain the torpedo sound been looking for it some time now can't find and what software did you use it looks like Lightwave 3d am I correct?

  • @RAYMOND96195

Thanks, I'm not actually sure where the sound came from I have so many, possibly from a Star Trek games or recorded from an episode.

  • So I see at the end as a result of imbalance one engine is lit up and one is not. Nice touch!!

  • Hey great job on the wormhole..how did you recreate that effect? Looks just like the STMP original!

  • I just popped in because I was wonderind what colour wormholes were. It would make sense that they're worm coloured.

  • The wormhole happened because the warp envelope around the starship collapsed. The Enterprise's momentum keeps it going at faster than light, which causes all the distortions. There was an error in mapping of the dilithium crystals which almost allowed anti-matter to escape so the leak was detected and the warp drive went offline and the system put the anti-matter into a lower energy state. Almost lost the Enterprise twice first the crystal second the asteroid.

  • Okay, I HAVE to say this - everytime I see this sequence. whether it

s the original or the redone version on YouTube - I always *ALWAYS* think of Dr. Who and time vortex opening.

    Yeah, I'm a nerd.

Well done video, btw. Keep doing 'em.

  • Well done.

  • WOW! That looked awesome! Certainly better than my humble effort! Well done! :)

  • It just looked AMAZING to me! lol

  • Merkabah space ship moves within an all-embracing energy field which is composed of multiple magnetic, electromagnetic, and magneto-hydrodynamic domains unified into a “field stasis” using multiple polar denominations. The vehicle operating within the field the ability to go faster than the speed of our common light. With instant acceleration with power to travel at 2.9 times (or more) the speed of light as defined by man. The vehicle can go through these portals time tunnels or “wormholes :)o*o

  • I like how she's buffeted at the end and spins slightly off course. Makes it "feel" real.

  • @starsiegeplayer I love the slight spin, too. It's a good job.

  • Where did you get that track from??? It's not in the officially-released OST!

  • @EVAUnit4A

It's actually from the Nemesis OST, can't remember which track off hand.

  • @VideoSpaceFX

Can't be- I HAVE the Nemesis OST, and the only 'battle music' on there is when Troi figures out where the Scimitar is and the Remans invade the Enterprise.

The music in this video is where the Romulans team-up with the Enterprise, which was not on the OST.

  • Very well made... It's up to date, yet stays true with the movie..... Well done.

  • but will it blend?

  • i remember you replying to me saying that it was coming up when i said do the enterprise encounters v'ger on your klingon battle with the cloud video...i was a bit disappointed when the next video was end of an era. Just realized you're doing TMP effects shots in order. Ok thats pretty cool too :D

  • BEAUTIFUL, DAMN GOOD WORK AS ALWAYS!!!!

  • I love the Blue Torpedoes !!

  • "Mr. Woof, dispatch a subspace message to Admiral Hanson. We have engaged the VideoSpaceFX... Again :D" Yey..Welcome back :)

  • good

  • That looked frakking beautiful!

  • BEAUTIFUL!!!!

  • Now that was very cool !!!The choice of music was perfect and gives it more of a dramatic edge!!Nicely done, and very different from TMP :D

  • Very nicely done. Though -- Why a blue photon instead of a red one? Just curious.

  • @rkcoon The original TMP had a blue torpedo effect. Torpedo effect does not have the original light spinning effect. I guess it must not be an easy thing to create.

    Aside from that, AWESOME!!!

I do much prefer the blue vs the red.

  • @smileygabe22 I can swear that it had the flaring/spinning effect on the blue torpedoes too.

  • @BoredomCorner

He means I didn't make it look quite right in this video because the rotation of the spikes is a bit 2 dimensional. I don't know why they made the torpedo blue, maybe because in TOS they were a blue/white colour and also because it stands out from the wormhole, but then they could have changed the wormhole colour.

  • @VideoSpaceFX To be honest the torpedoes being blue in this one never bothered me; if you really want to get sticky about continuity, the Enterprise and its misc. effects look very different between II and III and supposedly only a couple of weeks at the most pass between those movies. The point being, they could easily be using a new torpedo for the events of this movie, and switched to yet another kind for the subsequent flick's events, etc.

  • @BoredomCorner The flare we see as the torpedo is supposed to be from it's propulsion system...

  • @CJCA915 No, not quite.

  • @DukeNukemTheSeries Well, that's what I read, because there's not much else on the outside of the casing that would cause the flares.

  • @VideoSpaceFX Please correct me if I'm wrong, but weren't those quantum torpedoes or didn't the federation have that technology at the time?

  • @Spud13ify

No it's just blue not red, it's called a photon torpedo in the film.

  • @Spud13ify No. The photon torpedoes were blue in this movie. I'm led to believe that the same would be true of the phasers. I would guess that they could have in some way been following the continuity in the Original Series. Most of the time the phasers & torpedoes were blue there too.

  • That was better then the remake. You even get the notion that the ship even took some damage after the wormhole inccident. In the movie you only get a small idea of that when Scotty tells captain Kirk that he is picking up the pieces from the failed warp attempt. Awesome job.

  • wow excellent, nice job there =]

  • Very nice.
