The british did not invented the tank^^. The first armoured vehicle was build in austria.
About the Leo2 armour. Noone knows how good it actually is because it is secret like most off the German military stuff. All we know is that its armour is similar to the one of the Challenger2 but stronger. If it is true i dont know.
Fact is that the Leopard2 is the best tank in the world (if you look at the data of the tanks and compare the test results of the US-army with all three tanks)

We are allowed to build heavy weapons. Guess where the USArmy got half of their Abraham from. They build it under own license but it was developed in germany.
German army is only a shade of what it once was. Unmotivated, low-payed, bad equipped (no money for proper new boots etc., helicopter from the 60's ). They are poor guys imho, I wouldn't want to go to a war with them right now.

The death of the General Staff (Großer Generalstab), the Prussian tradition, not the least of which allowing women into combat units, etc ... it's a joke today. Germany just spends the minimum for its army and it is still great. Almost everything Germany produces is the best. There subs for example the A212 or there Panzerhaubitz 2000. Than of course the Eurofighter Typhoon which is even better than the american F-22. But i think the Apache is better than the Tiger. Nevertheless German technology is one of the best in the world.
It is already proofen that it is better. The royal air force and the american air force made a scenario with both planes. The EFT was already shooting while the F-22 hasnt even managed to target the fighters.
Also Eurofighter Typhoon made his first flight in 1994 and entered service in 2006. Since 1994 they were making some changes on the plane.
Germany already has 140 Eurofighters and wasnt involved in Libya because they didnt wanted to.

We are allowed to build heavy weapons. Guess where the USArmy got half of their Abraham from. They build it under own license but it was developed in germany.
German army is only a shade of what it once was. Unmotivated, low-payed, bad equipped (no money for proper new boots etc., helicopter from the 60's ). They are poor guys imho, I wouldn't want to go to a war with them right now.

And they undoubtedly had the most elite forces during the Second World War, and thats coming from a Brit. The Soviet Union only won because of sheer numbers and manufacturing capability.

this statement would be true pre-1945. I don't think any military expert would doubt that. However, today's German Army is a shadow of it's former glory. The death of the General Staff (Großer Generalstab), the Prussian tradition, not the least of which allowing women into combat units, etc ... it's a joke today. This is clearly the case since in today's world, the US is heavily relied upon for the defense of NATO and it's member nations, to the chagrin of US the tax payer.

The Marder has an airconditioning system as has the Abram. But you cannot compare these two tanks. The Abrams is a main battle tank while the Marder is a support tank.
And no. The Abrams air conditioning already failed several times. I already spoke with some soldiers who were fighting in Afghanistan.

The american defense budget is more than two times the size of the German houshold (300 billion euro)
Germany just spends the minimum for its army and it is still great. Almost everything Germany produces is the best. There subs for example the A212 or there Panzerhaubitz 2000. Than of course the Eurofighter Typhoon which is even better than the american F-22. But i think the Apache is better than the Tiger. Nevertheless German technology is one of the best in the world.

Germanys Defense cuts means no new Eurofighters and a cut in Tornados along with other cuts.
The Eurofighter introduced in 1994' is no comparison with F-22 which entered service in 2005'.

It is already proofen that it is better. The royal air force and the american air force made a scenario with both planes. The EFT was already shooting while the F-22 hasnt even managed to target the fighters.
Also Eurofighter Typhoon made his first flight in 1994 and entered service in 2006. Since 1994 they were making some changes on the plane.
Germany already has 140 Eurofighters and wasnt involved in Libya because they didnt wanted to.

Of the Nov 1944 total of 264 combat divisions, only 42 were armored or motorized. The great bulk of the German combat strength-the old-type infantry divisions-marched into battle on foot, with their weapons and supply trains propelled almost entirely by four-legged horsepower.

@llynfach how stupid are you today dumbass. "American troops behaved in such a way that the Chinese, without tanks and heavy artillery,..etc" source where the Chinese did not have tanks & artillery. And if they kicked anybodys butts how come the Korean War has ended up a stalemate and the Korea is divided approx. along the same 38th parallel today as when the Korean War started & ended way back in 1953'.
The Korean War was sideshow in the 'Cold War' btwn US & late Soviet Union.
