to get the yellow plate to move go into game settings and turn the plate coverage indicator to on. you can then move it around, thanks to czar for pointing that out

ive been mastering batting in this game for awhile. your are spot on. at first i found this kinda funy but then i realized that this info is really accurate. this is good advise.

use outfield view when batting (except if it is a left hander) It is easier to see the ball....also work the count .....if it is 2-0 take the next pitch no matter where it is......be patient and stay back wait for the ball.......every once in a while you can sit on a fast ball ( bases loaded 3-1 count)

heres a good tip, never use guess pitch, dont swing out of the zone....and make them pay for anything they hang

why is guess pitch a bad idea? I always guess fastball, then if its not a FB I know to wait on an offspeed pitch.

hey Czar i neeed your help.... all these guys pitch the ball down in the zone and i even guess the pitch rght but i always hit grounders. But when i play varsity guys they are able to hit it outta the park! when its down low. Im only getting about 5 hits a game. Please if u have any answers help.  Thanks Jesse

Oj my man stay away from that power hit button. depending what level you play on there is a moderate to severe penalty for making contact. Only swing at the stuff you hit well force guys to strike you out and don't be afraid of that. make them make great pitches but hurt them bad when they bring the pitch to the location you want. practice practice practice like i mention in the video. I'm not online much at all when I'm working on videos which is most of the time.

As I'm new to baseball (I'm from Brazil), I'm still grasping the basics of the game. Can you help me? First, I'll ask you some questions on pitching.

1) Which are the best occasions to "bunt" a ball?

2) What a the "power swing" (square button)? Is it better than the "regular" one (x button)?

3) Can you get some "after touch" effects on your ball (pressing up or down on the right stick)? When would I use them?

The bunt can be used to advance your runner on first or on second. especially in situations where there are no outs(preferable) or 1 out. Use the bunt to get those guys on base into scoring position.

2. power swing is best used when you have a batters count like 2 balls or 3 balls and no strikes. You can hit home runs without it and there is a penalty if you use it that makes contact harder to obtain. The penalty is worse the higher up in difficulty you play.
