If you want something really confusing watch Black Lagoon. Made so that Japanese is the spoken language but the language they are ACTUALLY speaking is English. Plus wordy Russia Mafia types and the setting goes from English to Japan.

If this anime were my only source of Japanese culture, I'd say Japan is a nation shameless towards awkward sexuality and has a lot of pedos. Hell, maybe that is Japanese culture in the modern world... But whether American, Canadian, Japanese or whatever, the anime is shameless reguardless.
