I like both Ford and Chevy trucks, both great trucks that'll last forever. I've seen Silverado bucket trucks from 2000 with 230k miles original everything, idles/runs for 8+ hours a day for 5 days a week - not a single issue. Likewise, I've seen some Fords that have been to hell and back, still run likes a new truck. I'd buy either or. But not a Dodge. Dodge was invented so Ford and Chevy owners could both hate something other than each other lol

To basically emphasize my point though about the Ford, I've had several Ford trucks too, and they were great. You take care of anything, it'll usually last.

One thing I've got to say, I've seen plenty of Ford dissing on here, and well, Ford builds good trucks too. That's not say I don't like Chevy, my Van's have changed my faith too. Honestly though I still love my Crown Vic, and my wife's Chevy Astro, well that thing just keeps going. Anyway basically I think you can have a love and appreciation for both auto-makers, because they both build quality vehicles. Now Dodge on the other hand. . .

I really like this design though they really dont seem dependable because I never really see any of these pickups in the '88 to '96 design only Tahoes and Suburbans are around my area

Personally I think they're the best trucks any American ever designed/built. I know so many people that have them with 200K-300K+ miles; my '97 has about 180 and I still play hard off road with it, work hard, tow boats, etc.

yeah you really have to abuse or neglect the engines ALOT before they break down on you....my truck has only 108K miles on it, runs perfect and only cost me 1500.
